Who is this addressed to? I don't think anyone wants to repeal the first amendment ;)

Also, I don't think an atheist would agree with you that his right not to believe was given by God.

The "DEMAND" part, just denied you the respect you had hoped for.

Particularly because I have no need of yours. As far as appeasement and apology...Who exactly asked it of you?

You seem rather angry about something, which is unfortunate.

You have already spread ill-will be stereotyping. Also, that is discouraged here, so knock it off.

Im an Atheist and I say Merry Christmas because I happen to LIKE the feeling of good will and getting on with everyone and the fun and the whole idea of Santa Claus and the magic it brings to little children etc etc. If you cannot wish me the same because of a difference in opinion then...well...thats up to you. :)

Same here. I was raised by Hindu parents, yet we celebrated Christmas because my parents didn't want me and my sister to miss out on what most of our friends at school were celebrating during the holidays. I consider myself an agnostic now, but I have no problem with Christmas, Hanukkah, etc. and will say Merry Christmas back to others too.

This to me is the true issue with this pathetic "War on Xmas"( yeah they get pissy about the X too....Removing the Christ from Christmas).

Most folks non-Christian could not care less about your mistaken birthday celebration. However, there are significant "other things" taking place at that calendar portion. Solstice, Yule, a few Jewish thingys,Mayan, Hindu, Islamic......etc......

Anyone with the slightest brain function, who has actually read the Bible(s) has the understanding that the Christ could not have been born in December( Winter) in that part of the world when baby sheep were born.

Almost every religion throws a party in the darkest part of the year, but few have so obvious so blatant an incorporation of previous religion as this wonderful little mindf@ck.

The hypocricy in this whining is almost sickening.

But, My Grandaughter wants Santa....So be it.

Do Not Seek a War....History does not favor you.

I know the original poster was banned, but I'm going to respond to the general message anyway.

I really hate when people go off on rants like this. "Keep Christ in Christmas!" pleas just tend to annoy me. If you want to say Christmas, go for it. If you don't want to, don't. If you celebrate for religious reasons, go ahead. If you're an atheist who celebrates for family and wants to say "Happy holidays" go ahead....or if you want to say Christmas, I don't care! If you're Jewish and don't celebrate at all....that's up to you!

When it comes down to it, I really don't care how you celebrate or don't, or why you want to either way. Do as you please and I'll do the same. There's no reason to get hostile about it and there's no reason to start ranting or lecturing to other people either. Do want you want and let them do the same.

I don't know who elvisroy was addressing the OP to, but I sure know who it could have been addressed to. It could have been addressed to the thousands (possibly Millions) of Islamists in America, members of Muslim Brotherhood front groups whose goal is to destroy America, starting with the Constitution, and replace it with a totalitarian Islamic state.

That is not the goal of the vast majority of Muslims in the US or otherwise. You are stereotyping.

Can I just say....WOW!

One would think(hope) the mindset you profess was left behind some time back. Still, I would ask you to simply educate yourself of the Islamic faith, and then the Muslim Brotherhood, rather than spewing the words of "Rush".

We try to avoid these things here.

It may or may not be, but I was responding to your previous post which stated >> "I don't think anyone wants to repeal the first amendment", which denoted a single individual person, when there are dozens (if not hundreds) of Muslim Brotherhood front groups in America (as defined by the US Justice Dept.) whose members ALL want to repeal the first amendment.
This is simple FACT, not stereotyping.

I am well educated about the US Muslim Brotherhood, having read 25 well-researched books on them and Islamization in general, over the past 11 years + thousands of their footnotes. I don't need any coaching from Rush or Beck or anyone. As for "the Islamic faith", I've read quite a few translations of the Koran, since 1959, most recent these >> Pickthall, Ali, Arberry, Shakir, and Dawood.

Frankly, though for what is relevant about Islam fundamentally, as threat to America, one would only need to read about a dozen suras, which could be accomplised in a half hour. They might also take note that Islam doesn't reform itself (as Christianity did some centuries ago). That's because Muslims believe that the Koran is the word of God, and that can't be changed.

Result ? Over the past 1400 years of the existence of the Koran, not one word of it has been changed.

And since I'm new here now, I'll just say that I hope one thing that is NOT avoided here is the TRUTH.

Aside from the Quran, how many of those books were written by Muslims?

Also at least you admit to being a cherry picking fool. I could point out a dozen suras telling Muslims to defend the weak, give to charity or be friendly to Jews and Christians. ;)

Now who's cherry picking ? Point is, the Koran does have a lot of stuff in it that is contrary to US culture and law. The Christian bible does not have those things. And as for how many of those books were written by Muslims, I don't care one iota. I certainly don't think that a book would need to be written by a Muslim, to be a valid report about Islam and Islamization. In fact, I think a non-Muslim would be better able to report on it, since Muslims are not allowed to criticize Islam, or its leaders.

Back to the topic. Merry Christmas, everyone. And I do mean EVERYone (even the guy who just called me a fool) LOL.

A comparison of the Bible and Quran is invalid. The Bible was compiled over centuries, was edited extensively and was designed as a spiritual guide book and pro-Roman propaganda. The Quran was complied by Muhammad himself and his contemporaries and while spiritual in nature, it was a chronicle of Muhammad's rise to power and reign. Compare the Quranic passages to the corresponding history and you find that peaceful and violent passages match up with peace- and wartime, turn the other cheek doesn't work when someone is trying to kill you.
