The latest tactic is to use Christians as a battering ram against themselves; and here they will stop at nothing to accomplish the annihilation of what remains of the Gospel and its teachings.

If your born in India it's a real good chance your a Hindu. If your born in Latin America, it's a real good chance your a catholic, if your born in China, well you get the point.

Speaking this week for the first time as pope to an official delegation of Jewish leaders, Pope Francis spoke out strongly on Catholic-Jewish relations, saying that "due to our common roots" a "Christian cannot be anti-Semitic!"

According to a report onVatican Radio, the pope was meeting with 30 people from the International Jewish Committee on Interreligious Consultations, which aims to develop better Jewish-Christian relations, at the Vatican's Apostolic Palace’s Hall of the Popes.

During the meeting, the pope said he had come across "important personalities of the Jewish world" but admitted to not yet having been in front of an official audience of Jewish leaders

Reza Aslan in his recent book Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth develops the relationship between John the Baptist and Jesus and reiterates some of the scholarly work previously done regarding the origins and influences on Jesus' preaching and the their similarities to John the Baptist.

You of course can believe what you want from the sources you want but the historical record is pretty clear that Jesus was not only baptized by John but his ministry that developed later on echo many of John's positions and thoughts.
