I'm Dan, I'm 17, and I like cheese.

What other information could one ever need?

What sort of cheese?

I'm quite partial to Camembert, myself.

I've also grown quite fond of goat's cheese, as well...

Aside from cheese, do you hold any other strong views? I'm Dirk, by the way, i'm the deranged left-winger. Welcome to the forums.

;)

I'm heavily Green-minded, but upon realising that any vote for them in Liverpool would be a wasted vote, it's likely I'll be supporting the Lib Dems come May.

Oh, and usually a Brie, or several varieties of Cheddar,

Nah, you're the one on the sissy left. ;)

Okay, i'm kidding. Share the title?

Sissy Left? Just because I'm not an anarchist doesn't make me a sissy! Intelligent, yes. sissy, no.

:p

I don't think anarchism denotes a lack of intelligence. Society without Government isn't really very unreasonable. However much i enjoy calling myself a lunatic.

Anyways, in the spirit of socialism, i renew my offer to share the title?

AK-47s, looting, opportunistic warlords and chaos?

Anarchism isn't chaos. I think you're mistaking definitions.

It will probably not be any worse than it is now. Probably better, since there will be no state coercion and autoritarian control. Mutual respect will necessarily take its place. Humans are quite amazing in that they can adapt very well. To quote Hennacy, i think it was, "Oh judge, your damn laws: the good peole don't need them and the bad people don't keep them. So what good are they?"

I think Dodge made a good point in another thread, just now. Why doesn't he go down to the bank and steal money right now? Well, because it's likely the people at the bank, workers and customers, will do their best to defend themselves (and the money). In this case, the state might contribute the police - Anarchism would simply mean people organise differently. Not that they don't organise. It's not ridiculous to think that people can run their own lives without the state.

Without the state? Well yes, i agree. without gov't? Well the moment people organize for their communities best interest, however that may be, they have a gov't.

A stateless gov't would be best, Left or Right, anyone not in the ruling class would likely agree. But anarchy? Never. Somalia is bad on it's own, no need to make the whole world that way.

This i agree with. Absolutely. Though that does not necessitate authority or legislation. I agree with free federation, direct democracy and industrial democracy.

Again, you're confusing definitions. Anarchists do not want anarchy, they want libertarian socialism.

Of course not. We just engage in a lot of state hate. Chaos destabilises society, not to mention threatens individual liberty.

Then you shouldn't call your selves Anarchists.
