Calls for Secession

Getting back to secession, no way am I going to allow the election of a poser sway me, I am not giving up on the USA, she will come back to her senses.
I just heard today that Austin, Tx has asked to secede from Texas....Austin being the biggest bastion of liberals in Tx....I wish them good luck & God speed. "Don't let the doorknob hit ya wher the good Lord split ya".

It sounds to me as though you think "secede" means they would have to "leave" Texas (just based on the "Don't let the doorknob..." statement. I don't think that's what they meant. Austin seceding means, Austin's population and that land becoming what???? another state? See how ridiculous the options are?

Of course the whole thing is just a symbolic gesture to let the rest of the country know not ALL of Texas feels the same way, and nothing more.

And as for your opinion that the USA will come back to it's senses, I would say that it started that journey 4 years ago, and we're headed in the right direction, with a long way yet to go.
