Caroline Kennedy took her name from the running to replace Hillary Clinton.

Can't say im surprised. Caroline doesn't have any of the experience necessary to be in the Senate. Last name doesn't count.

Yeah she probably knew she would not win even though her last name is Kennedy. She is using Uncle Ted's collapse at the inauguration lunch as an excuse for dropping out.

A new report says that Governor Paterson had no intention of nominating her for the job because he believes she isn't ready for that big a job. As for the reason she used to drop out of contention: personal reasons, not necessarily her uncle's health.

Yeah it looks like Patterson wasn't going to choose her so she wanted to save face and left for "personal reasons."

I'm thinking Andrew Cuomo will get it, I think he would make a great senator.

Good thing the Governor had enough sense not to hire her, she is very inexperienced and as a conservative, the last thing I want is another Kennedy in Congress.

Democratic U.S. Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand is going to be the replacement for Clinton. She is also a very connected person, who comes from a very political family (not as much as the Kennedys of course, but she still knows how the politics game works.)
