Today is the first day of the three day, Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington D.C. which is held every year. There are tons of speakers and guests including several Congressman, political commentators, and authors. I went last year and might try to make it out tomorrow if I get a chance, but it is a really great conference in my opinion. Of course I do consider myself pretty conservative, but even within the conference, views can differ drastically.

For anyone interested in watching CPAC, check out CSPAN, where they are airing some of the speeches (they are also streaming many of them here: http://www.c-span.org/Watch/C-SPAN.aspx )

Yea, it really is and if you ever get the chance I would recommend it. I am lucky that I go to school near D.C. and the fact that they have a lower admission price for college students, which is why I was able to go last year.

Practical, open and good service. Very typical conservative!

The conference just ended with Glenn Beck's keynote speech. Ron Paul ended up winning the straw poll with 31% of the vote, followed by Romney at 22% and Palin at 7%. Look out for all speeches going up on Youtube over the next couple days (a lot of them are already there) if you want to watch them.

Glenn Beck gave a fantastic speech.

Ron Paul winning the straw poll was odd. The majority of voters identified themselves as students, hopefully that means the younger generation have their heads on straight.
