The time I had an engineering job interview around 1994 at Chrysler Corporation in Huntsville, AL at their near the airport automotive development/manufacturing facility. I was in the middle of my interview, walking around the plant, when I realized I had a big, huge rip in the right buttock area of my brand new pair of pants!!!
I had no idea how/when the rip occurred. I think I asked to borrow a stapler or a tape dispenser or something to temporarily patch it up.
So when my interview was over (to add insult to injury), they determined it was too early to take me to the airport for my flight, and since it was a Friday, and they routinely left work early for the weekend, they would bring me to a party at someone's house, and someone there would take me to the airport later.
So naturally at the party, I stood with my back to the wall the entire time!
They finally got some guy who sounded exactly like Gomer Pyle (Jim Neighbors) who took me to the airport in a PINTO.
The only cool thing about the whole ordeal, was right after we landed in Huntsville, the pilot said over the P.A. to look out the right side of the plane to see the Space Shuttle landing. It was piggybacked on the 747, and was coming to town for an airshow that weekend. :smug:
