Indeed. I'm pleasantly surprised, Perry and Cain seem to be the best of the bunch.

Poor pickings in my opinion. After the last two weeks or so I think I would vote for Cain over Perry. I wish the democrats would have a primary too. I am open to be persuaded.

Why would the Dems have a primary? The entire reason the Repubs hate the man is because he's the most successful Dem since FDR.

Seems some of them don't see him as that successful. I know that I don't either. I don't hate him, but I think he is in over his head. To be fair most people would be.

The Dems that don't like him are the Repub's TP equivalents. Social-Democrats and a few moderate socialists pretending to be liberals.

No we are not. I am still looking for one that will not sell out and still be elected. It is like searching for a unicorn.

Ron Paul? He probably won't get elected because he doesn't sell out
This I know. I voted for his son and he was elected. But I just don't see Ron getting elected. In my opinion Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are the most honest I see.

Agreed. It is a systemic problem at this point though which is why there is so much selling out. Yet, you still have people like CC who refuse to see that because they don't want to hear anything bad about their beloved political party. Ironically, that same party is simultaneously stealing from them and giving to the special interests that pay for the shiny ads and election marketing.

True. Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul seem to have stuck to their beliefs year after year without regard to the party in power. The rest just demagogue whatever the other party has to offer.

I like Sen. Sanders but he won't ever run (way to old).
While Sen. Sanders is not one that I would vote for, let's don't count out the old guys.;) As time goes on I find myself more understanding of older people. I rarely agree with Dennis Kucinich. But he will call out a democrat president just like he will a republican president if he thinks they are going too far. And I admire him for that.

Now I need to find a drink to clear my throat for speaking kindly of a member of the opposition.:p

The man is what, 80?
Somewhere about that I think. But I see people that want to live as long as they can, ever how they can. I don't know if it is fear of death or just wanting to hang out with family and friends. Then there are people like me that look at death as a relief. Much like getting out of jail. So I wish everyone a life as long as it is worthwhile to them. And no one trapped in a life the have no use for. But that will probably never happen.

Maybe the next president can work on that after jobs, peace and health care.

Successful at WHAT? What the devil could you possibly be talking about? Successful at apology tours? Successful at wrecking the country??

Wait a minute - I get it! Your reference to FDR was ironic - like saying "the greatest humanitarian since hitler"!

Whew! Ya GOT me there for a second! :p

Despite the right's pathetic attempts at convincing people to the contrary, Obama has actually kept or is currently working on the majority of his campaign promises. A Dem president getting more of his campaign platform passed then most other presidents despite a do-nothing Congress who's stated goal is to sabotage his presidency so he won't get reelected? If I was a Repub I'd be pissed too.
