Inflation is the result of global policies during the pandemic

The international community poured trillions and trillions of government funds into keeping their countries afloat. it was funds they didn't have or collected in taxes. What we are seeing is the inflationary forces that were put into motion to prevent in 2020/2021 from keeping economies from going into recession or depression. In modern times, having people selling apples on the street corner is not acceptable to societies during these crises. Everyone didn't want to pay the price, and they were right or considered the consequences. What is neded to right the economic cart and move on as best can. Economists say, no such thing as a free lunch, and those that don't understand it are now angry for things during covid not being far far worse.

Further to my comment and as events evolve, the globe is in an inflationary cycle. The U. S. is not alone in all this, Europe and more developed nations in Asia have seen turmoil over higher prices. Exacerbating it, the Ukraine war has affected energy costs and food costs because Russia has attacked the world's bread basket. Nations in Africa are seeing rising food prices and starvation. This crisis is not the current administration, but everyone is affected, the U.S. is a global economy today. Trump would have faced the same, and likely been far worse with his ignorant policy actions, thinking only for himself, still the demagogue.

Climate changes is also contributing to inflation as drought kills crops and creates food shortages, lowered river levels imped shipping by river, and extreme storms and flooding also disrupt transportation of goods.
