Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama accepted a proposal that would keep a large American military presence in Japan for years to come. The agreement comes despite campaign promises in which Hatoyama said he would fight to reduce American presence in the country. Thousands have protested the previous presence and many more gathered today to voice their opinion on this decision.

I think America want to have his forces in all countries of the world this way or other..!!

To be fair, the last time we let that good ol' empire have it's way, they invaded and conquered most of the US Pacific Empire. They even invaded Alaska! Took 4 long years of hard fighting and 2 nukes to stop them and they're just as racist and anti-Asian now as they were then, so please excuse us if we're not 100% trusting of a militarily independent Japanese Empire. They may not have a beef with us anymore but I still fear for weak nations like Indonesia, Philippine, ect.

Maybe it's paranoia but what would we end up having to do if they suddenly get all militant after we leave? Just because that part of their culture has been suppressed by their status as a US protectorate doesn't mean it's been erased from the Japanese mentality.
