Would love to get hold of the Enterprise. As a moderate Trekie, it would be 1 of the most epic things ever. :D
I agree! You know If I had one (with free engine) I would be very tempted to fire that thing up at some time. (If I still had a lot of money)Since spending all that money

I would want to see that thing fired up. Talk about all dressed up and nowhere to go!

Ya, with the engines free and the shuttles themselves so cheep, I wonder if some other country like China will buy them?

And we know they would try to take a ride. I would like to send their leader off on a free trip with them at the controls!

You know, we should give them 1. It's a civilian craft (well technically military but not meant for war) and so long as we don't include the engines (as that would help their missile tech) it would do nothing to harm us yet provide them with a chance to have a real space program if they could fund 1 or a great museum piece if they can't. Ether way, a good way of helping relations without risking anything.

I would love to hook one of those engines up to my car but unfortunately I cannot afford the $400,000 shipping fee.

I saw it on a tech blog, it was either Gizmodo or Engadget.

Well I read (in the article I linked) that they were selling for $400k and a lack of buyers forced them to just give it away. Shipping I'd think would cost whatever Fed Ex or whoever would charge you. Also, assumably is required, they only send parts, not the thing built.
