In my opinion yes. I think it is wrong to deny people a vote because they do not agree with you.:unsure:

Okay lets try this. Right now the Governor of Kentucky is trying to shove "gambling" through so we can tax it. The other side wants to vote on it. Even some in favor want a vote. The people that are against gambling feel that it is morally wrong. I don't care either way, I don't gamble anymore. But I want to vote on it.That's taken out of context

Is it insane for people who have lived their whole life thinking gay is wrong are not comfortable with what they feel is a state endorsement? I don't have a horse in this dog fight either.
I have been with one woman for 35+ years. I am old, out of shape, and ugly. No woman or man would want my old butt anyway.I will finish with my own personal opinion now.
Many anti-gay people have only seen gay people in "Gay Pride Parades". They think that is what gay is. So I don't think the parades are helpful.
Sure, I can understand that. Gambling has caused miseries for people throughout their lives, too much debt, too much cost for society. But I'm not in favour of a ban on gambling, because the majority who can play responsibly and know their limits shouldn't be held accountable for the minority who doesn't.

It's not insane, but it's what they're used to from their olden days which is suddenly being challenged. I can understand that something like that, coming from authorities, would be hard to swallow for some. But we can't be living in the 1930's forever, and there are many things in society which may irritate and cause aggression, but if we listened to that every time a decision was made, we wouldn't be a civilised society in the US or in the UK, as we have accomplished today.
Then anti-gay people need to broaden their knowledge about homosexuality a little bit, instead of pushing the responsibility over on homosexuals.
Some of these people don't know anyone gay because the gay people they come into contact with keep it a secret. I think it is safe to say everyone knows gay people. But does everyone know who is gay? I actually don't think my mother would know gay if she was in a room full. I tried talking to her about that a few times. She just says "ah they don't do that".
Now with strokes and other illness there is no need to upset her. She sure does not understand my son/daughter-in-law. She says, "he needs to dress like a man and go back to work". He would be real popular back in uniform at the detention center.

Exactly, the older generation is not aware of it. Hence the reason why it's good that more and more countries are joining in the inclusion of gay people, so that we eventually will build not only parts of the world, but an entire world based on basic human rights.
