Obama Snubbed the VFW, But Not These Groups

By Ben Johnson

While Barack Obama is the first president not to personally address or assign a top-tier representative to the Veterans of Foreign Wars' annual convention, not every organization has received the same shabby treatment as the military. White House spokesman Adam Abrams claimed Obama snubbed the VFW because he "receives many speaking requests throughout the year, but he is unable to meet them all." Apparently, if you wish to receive a visit from the president or one of his top cabinet members, it helps to be dedicated to the interests of homosexuals, illegal immigrants, Muslims, or union bosses.

La Raza, Si! VFW, No!

Obama avoided those who served to protect our homeland, but he had no trouble speaking to those who invaded it. He spoke before the National Council of La Raza's....<SNIP>

It is just another way of telling what he cares about. I hope they all remember him when voting.

Horrible source and statements like this are nonsense and can be offensive to innocent people:
Obama avoided those who served to protect our homeland, but he had no trouble speaking to those who invaded it.

Actually, obama's action indicates a minimum residual amount of decency. Imagine the disgust with which american veterans, people who have risked their lives for this country, would listen to an america-hating leftwing appeaser who has traveled to foreign countries to defame the US in public speeches.

I thought we already have one "former president" that does that. Even spoke against the US while in Cuba I think. But I could be wrong. Maybe just one of my "senior moments".

The article is offensive to muslims, immigrants, etc. many of whom are not terrorists or associated with any such groups.

Oh pulleezzzzzz..... give me a break.

Any Muslim or immigrant who is not a terrorist or associated with any such groups won't get offended because they are not a terrorist or associated with any such groups!!! Sheese!

Man, you're a real Lefty from Left St., Leftyville, aren't you. I'll bet you think All In The Family is a horrible racist show don't you. LOL.

Liberals need to quit working with feelings.

Um that article doesn't say that though. It flatout says just Muslims, not Muslims who are terrorists.

Really Dodge? I expected better from you having known you all this time. This article flatout implies that Muslims are a problem. And you along with CatholicCrusader call yourselves men of a decent God? God damn, at least I am accepting of people's beliefs.

Did not even read that article. Just making a general statement about the world today.

So you made that statement without even seeing what the article was about and in turn defended what it said by doing so? Listen, I disapprove of Obama as much as the next guy, but that does not mean I agree with every nonsense dribble that paints Obama negatively. Doing so would mean I agree with nutcases like the author of this post and in turn, it hurts my own ethos. And my dignity.

I thought I had already said many times here. I am not here to defend or attack anyone. I just state my opinions. I don't want anyone taking anymore or less than that from anything I say here. I will never ask anyone to agree with me and don't really care if anyone disagrees with me. I have past that point in my life.

Yea, but whether inadvertently or not, it seemed like you were defending the ridiculous article in the link. Your intent doesn't matter in the context of discussion and debate if everyone sees it that way- at least until you say you weren't defending it as you just did.

Glad we got that worked out. The only thing I wanted to comment on is everyone seems to be offended by something the last couple of years. Young, old, black, white, fat, skinny the whole damn world seems to want to be offended at times.:p

To an extent everyone has always felt offended at times. It's just that in older times, expressing that feeling might have meant getting your head cut off or being imprisoned or sterilized, etc.

I hear that man. If we were on TV, I'd expect myp to walk off the set like Whoopi did with Bill O'Reilly. Heaven forbiod someone should actually speak their mind about the blatantly obvious.
