With the Masters Tournament underway, the White House affirmed Thursday that President Obama thinks the Augusta National Golf Club should change its longstanding policy and admit women.
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters that while it's the club's decision, Mr. Obama's "perJay Carneysonal opinion is that women should be admitted to the club."
"The president answered quite clearly to me that he believes Augusta should admit women," he said. "We're long past the time women should be excluded from anything."

Two points:

1. Obama has more than this to be concerned about.

2.Obama really needs a better spokesman in my opinion. There is nothing that Jay Carney could tell me that I would believe.:p

I didn't know women were not allowed at the club. I am with the President on this one.

As for having more to be concerned about, one simple line can have a big influence when you are the President if only in increasing dialogue- if he finds this important (which I think I would too), then I'd say it's worth his time to spend the 10 seconds to say it.

He is a hell of a lot better than Robert Gibbs. Gibbs was just awful.

It is glaringly obvious Jay Carney is over his head. He mumbles about, lost for words like when we were kids and trying to come up with an excuse when pressed by our parents on why the living room lamp is broke.

Do not be too hard on Carney. He is only a teenager and still in high school. When he grows up he may become a supreme orator. :p

He has a tough job. Being Obama's Press Secretary is as difficult as being responsible for keeping Lindsay Lohan sober. You know you're just going to be in recovery mode 24/7.
