Yes. We are indoctrinated from birth; it is our human bondage. Our faults are thus so ingrained as to be part of our human nature. In this, we repeat the same mistakes not because we fail to learn from them, but because we have not changed our ways. Still, we persist in the same pattern - from father to son, mother to daughter, generation on generation - over and over again, in an endless cycle. To understand this is to understand the nature and tragedy of our lives.
Right, it is a tragedy, like banging our heads against the exact same wall.

The real difference between liberals and conservatives is that liberals are those that are too liberal for their own good; while conservatives are those that are only liberal for their own good. Either way you want to look at it, neither come out looking very good.

Wow! That is an excellent definition. How would you describe liberal in terms of the Democratic Party, especially the ones who are to the left of Obama?

He arrives at the convention with a mission; for his is the crusade of the common man. He comes with a long list of grievances. He has a large agenda, for his is the democratic party; the party of inclusion, the party of consensus and coalition, and, ultimately, the party of compromise. All must be accommodated; every dissident faction appeased. It is an impossible task. Still, he is undaunted. Armed with pamphlets and posters, he becomes a tireless advocate. He is strident, arrogant and argumentative. He takes on all comers. The party parades out the old war horses. One after another, in speeches and diatribes, they point the accusing finger at the excesses of the Republicans, who after eight years are now completely unmasked. It is the age-old conflict between the rich and the poor, the have’s and the have not’s. "It’s time for them to go!" - they cry. Arm-in-arm they stand united behind the party leadership. He shouts and cheers - waiving his rainbow banner - and sings: "Happy Days Are Here Again."

Yeah that's a good one.

Well said. So those who do not want to compromise would then be "revolutionaries"? They would have small and clear agenda with very specific point on it?
