Evil exists in the world. But God is all-powerful. Why then doesn't He remove all evil from the world?
I once encountered a pretty good answer to this. What if evil has been removed and we're just so spoiled that we think less good is evil without ever knowing what true, utter evil actually is. Scary thought.
Not sure I follow that - evil never had to exist in the world in first place, did it?
The point is that maybe evil doesn't exist and we just have different levels of good to go by. I'm not saying it's true, just an interesting argument I've encountered.
So what level of good was Hitler?
He didn't destroy the universe.Like I said, I never claimed to share the belief just thought it was an interesting point.
It's diificult for me to see the Holocaust as a "level of good".

Evil is the result of man's choices. The only way to remove it is for God to strip man of his free will.
But do we have free will?
According to certain physicists, everything is pre-determined though we have no way of understanding this pre-determination thus free will is only an illusion.
Yes
So you say.
Thats so much gobbldeygook. Physicists should stick to physics.
They do.According to some physicists everything has been pre-determined from the start but in order to know what fate has in store you must know the location of every particle in the universe which we can't know, thus we enjoy the illusion of free will though it doesn't actually exist.
Again, that's so much crap.
The source of all Truth is God, and God's definitive Word to mankind is Jesus Christ.
To understand this, we listen to those who God has appointed as teachers - the Apostles and their successors - not to some pointy headed physicist.

So you'll take the word of some 2,000 years dead Roman politicians who co-opted a Jewish sect over the words of respected scientists? Odd priorities you have.
Some of us might not respect scientists as much as others. As for me I give them the same respect as anyone else. No more, no less.So you'll take the word of some 2,000 years dead Roman politicians who co-opted a Jewish sect over the words of respected scientists? Odd priorities you have.

Evil is the result of SOME men's choices - why doesn't Goid "rescue" the victims who didn't choose evil, but are victims of it? Eg, the jews didn't "choose" to be victims of the Holocaust.
