A faith is a set of beliefs, a religion is a dogmatic system who's practitioners must adhere to all tenants. Catholothism and Protestantism (faiths) are umbrella terms for the beliefs of some Christians (religion).
Faith is a choice. Not belief, not a religion and not anything other than a choice.

People do not have to adhere to all tennents, I am catholic but I don't adhere to all the tennents, I have not been excomunicated. That statement is false. Try again.

As I said, stop trying to act like you're an intellectual genius, you're only making yourself look bad.
I never said or even made myself out to be a genius, where did you get that from. I corrected a mistake you made. I know more about faith than you do, maybe not much else, but you are in my feild here. I gained faith through hard times, you don't know at all what it is from this side. I am not trying to cut you down, i don't mean any offence. You started resorting to insults, i don't know why.

Dont you think a person that makes wine may know more about it than someone that doesn't. Faith is the same way. And before we go down this road, i know what the dictionary says about faith. But that is english words, that we use to discribe a concept that can only be fully understood by the ones that have experianced it. Just like love and paranthood if it was as simple as the dictionary stated then there wouldn't be bad parents or bad breakups, or discussions about faith.

I am sorry if I offended you somehow, lets stop the insults

Faith is belief, that is the definition. Try again.

And so is being Catholic. ;)

And, your point?

I choose not to adhere to all of the doctrine of the catholic church, but i still choose to go to their mass. What dose it mean to be catholic to you, go to church, be confirmed, i believe exactly what the church tells you to, despite discrepencies, because if we have to adhere to things exactly all lables are false.
