Repugs candidates seen as a rebound vote

President Obama is unable to do much for declining economy. Does that mean voting for Repug idiots will make it better?
They will make any promise to get elected.
Once elected, it will be the same - who cares. Because economy is out of control of any party. Each is looking for the power.
US voters think that by changing a President will change economy.
Why should unemployed people buy health insurance and deplete their savings? Repug candidates do not have an answer except repeal Obamacare rhetoric.
Healthcare should be nationalized for all like Europe, Canada. It should be available whether you are employed or not.
That is the minimum one deserves for being a citizen.

You're spewing historically clueless, idiot-level "occupy" rhetoric. :p Conservatives have ALREADY rescued an economy before - Reagan inherited Jimmy Carter's economic disaster and TOTALLY changed things for the better.

The main thing government can do is GET OUT OF THE WAY. Government caused the current crisis, and if doesn't stop churning out bigger taxes, bigger debt, and bigger regulation, we'll neve leave it. As Reagan said, government isn't the solution - it's the problem.

Might as well vote for a "Repug idiot" that has not had the chance as a dem. idiot that has failed for three years.

We don't live in Europe, Canada! It is not a one size fits all. They are not doing so well that I envy them. Europe is broke too in case you had not heard. And all health care is paid for by someone. And" just being a citizen" does not mean someone else should pay your bills. If all citizens took that attitude nothing would get done. Someone somewhere has to actually do something to keep the lights on and provide any service.

Obama has a record, and it is bad. He wasted billions on his stimulus program because instead of offering incentives for job creation and investment, he spent most of our money on top down projects to preserve state and local government budgets and jobs. Instead of encouraging the creation of new wealth, Obama's plan redistributed old money. When the stimulus cash was spent, state and local governments had to cut costs as they should have done in the beginning.

If he were a CEO, the stock holders would have fired him.

Agreed!:D Kentucky is now working on a stimulus hangover budget. Back in Nov. our governor never mentioned we were millions of dollars short. He was bragging about how he balanced last years budget. Then he was reelected.

At least you don't have Gov. Scott. He took $2 bil from education last year (so he could look like he cared about the budget) then demanded we add $1 bil to the education budget in his State of the State address (so he could look like he cared about education).

They all seem to care about "education". We are still fighting about do we want "local schools" or bus everyone to other schools. They had a big stink last year about "charter schools".

You are correct, the "stimulus" was post-election payoffs to his supporters like government workers and the UAW. Further, lots of the money went for salary increases to people whose jobs weren't in jeopardy. One correction: it wasn't merely billions but hundreds of billions, nearly a trillion dollars.

Never mind that it was a continuation of Bush the Lesser's policies. Repubs can do no wrong in your eyes.

No thread is capable of possessing intellectual, logical and mature debate when the title of said thread contains immature and childish remarks such as "Repugs."

This is why it is a good idea for message boards to have rules in place prohibiting those sort of remarks. It places the thread immediately in the gutter and leaves it nowhere to go but down.

In an intellectual and productive debate, that kind of rhetoric is best left on the playground.

Besides, no one takes an individual seriously when they engage in such childish behavior. It shines a light on you and lets everyone know you have no serious insight or knowledge of politics and are just simply regurgitating political talking points rhetoric.

You just make up reality as you go along. :p Bush didn't create a trillion dollar "stimulus". As for republicans, I've criticized them endlessly, including in this forum. You're dumb, deaf, and blind.
