Saudi King urged the United States to attack Iran

WikiLeaks does it again- Julian Assange is one brave man. According to their latest release, Saudi King Abdullah tried to get the US to attack Iran over their nuclear weapons program. That can't go over well in the Islamic nations.

It deffinatly will not go over well in Iran. But atleast we haven't attacked Iran, that should count for something.

I will say that it is embarassing that we cannot even keep our confidential documents out of the public. Nobody is going to want to work with us if they think our word of confidentiality is not even good.

I do not understand why people would want to jepardise thier own country, they should be punished harshly.

I completely disagree on the information part. Government should be more transparent, not make back-door deals that hinge on our money and our future. Where there is a demand for information, supply will try to follow and Assange has managed to do that. I only expect more of this sort of thing with other countries as well. The internet has made this a victory for the people and a loss for the state. I'll take that any day.

I understand how you feel and to some extent I agree with you, but we cannot allow our current distrust of our government to bring us down. Some things need to remain secret.

Some things are best not known, such as hot-headed insults and threats, military movements, etc. Wikileaks may have noble intentions but the path to hell...

This is an aweful idea. Have you even considered what the president does? Do you want the entire world to know what we're doing at all times? Do you want our enemy to know our strategy?

I agree with you that he is a crook, but I'm unsure if he could be labled as a spy, he did not get the information someone else did.

If I was given the location of all of our nuke silos, sold that info to China then got caught, you better believe I'd be charged with espionage.

I should hope so. I guess I am most curious to see what the laws that they would try to pin on him, like espionage, to see what the say. What are the requirements to receive that charge and be found guilty?
