A few weeks ago Burris shot himself in the foot by admitting he had considered a fundraiser for Rod Blagojevich. It also said he had contacts with Rod's aides; he mentioned none of this during his hearings while he was under oath.
His story keeps changing and he contradicts himself everytime he talk to the press.
His appointment was botched from the beginning and really ruins Illinois' image. I think it's time he steps down and lets the state try to restore its reputation.
