Do keep in mind that the US and Canada each drew up plans for the invasion of the other despite being allies (the plans were abandoned after WW2). American prisons are are filled with Israeli (allies of the US) spies. I could go on but my point is made I think. Turkey has competing alliances and is truly friendly with most of them, the fact that they juggle their duties to their rival allies only proved the Turks are masters of the diplomatic arts.

And everyone opposes Turkey's plans for Syria as their goal is conquest rather then liberation.

Very interesting. What makes you think that ''their goal is conquest rather then liberation'' ?

Neo-Ottomanism.

I believe that there is almost no one follow such an ideology, called ''neo-ottomanism'' in the geography of the Ottoman Empire. On the contrary, Arab people ideologically do not accept the hegemony of another country. And no need to talk about the Balkan part of Ottoman Emprie.

The word, ''neo-Ottomanism'' just ''thought'' of some smarmy journalists
to demonstrate the ''successful foreign policy'' of ruling party.
