I'm backing Anderson. Not expecting him to win but the whole system is a mess because people don't want to 'wast their vote'. From now on i'm voting for who I like, not who I think will win and I'll tell every voter I see to do the same even if they're not backing the same person. It's the only way we'll get out of the rut we're in.

You are just wasting your vote. Under the Constitution, a person does not have the right to vote directly for a presidential candidate, but for "electors" for the President of the United States as provided under state law. U.S. Const., Art. II, Sec. 1; Bush v. Gore, 531 U.S. 98 (2000).

I used to think like this, but now I think I'd rather not vote than waste my time with that.

But the electors do get elected by popular vote by which I mean they have to vote according to the will of the people. Things like the '00 election only happen when the popular looser wins all of the high EC vote states like Florida and California. If my guy wins the popular vote in my state, he get's my state's EC votes.

I used to think like this, but now I think I'd rather not vote than waste my time with that.

It not so much to get my guy elected as it is to get his party out there. So what if he loses? If he comes in 3rd and/or his party wins a few state/Congressional elections people will take him and his party seriously. This is why he's running and seeing as he's getting his name/party on the ballot in several states (with 3 more months to work with) I wouldn't discount him.

Regardless, he stands to become the left's answer to Ron Paul which will only be a good thing for the debate everyone is having on where we're going as a nation.

Yea... I guess. This only works when you have a candidate that you think is good though. Right now, I am not sure there is any candidate I can support- mainstream or not that is actually running.

To be honest, I support nobody, clax for president, ha ha, I know you cringed a bit there myp. But seriously I give no support to either. That doesn't mean I will not vote. I am socially liberal, fiscally conservative. I would like to see gay marriage be legitimized, being that I am gay, but it is inevitable, social change happens regardless of who wants or doesn't want it. But honestly that isn't enough to keep our current president for me. So I will grudgingly vote for Romney not because I like him, but because I like him better than president

Thank you, do not vote. That will make my vote useless as usual, but at least more significant.

You guys realize that voting is what we've been doing since we became more than serfs? A serf vote doesn't change anything, but serfs can make a difference. We're not Koch brothers, we are not George Soros. We work, we defend, we are hard ass. But we can vote. That is significant.

I am backing God's choice

:)I am backing God's choice whoever wins the election lest I find myself fighting against God's appointed man (Romans 13:1-5).

What does that even mean? You will back someone after the election is over?

Running on that line, doesn't God give you the free will to vote your choice, and your choice if you are a man of God, should reflect that of God's will? so unless otherwise commanded by God not to vote you may actually be going against God's will?

Isn't God's work done through us?

Ron Paul 2012! if he doesnt run third party then were all screwed. I think Obama would be better than Romney though as Romney is just plain greedy. Not to mention he wants american citizens in internment camps!

The word for "everyday cares of the world" is the Greek word 'bios' and is used for the political system the holds the world together. therefore I do not get envolved with these (2Timothy 2:4)

Yeah I am going to have to be on David's side here. The Bible quoats seem a bit of a cop out. And I don't get how quoting the Bible is a suitable answer for not voting. But I guess its your right to abstain for what ever reason.
