According to a conspiracy theory, it is been proposed that USA never reached moon. The whole thing was a total fraud and the whole plot was made by US government to declare itself the earliest to step on the moon. It has been found that the mystery related to Area 51 is also a part of this plan. The crests which are shown on the moon's surface are supposed to be a small piece of ground in that area and that is why every one is prohibited to enter in to it.

I think if we look at how technology was in those days it would be reasonable to come up with a theory like that

I have seen some big web pages with loads of "evidence." The only thing I can say about it is "interesting." I don't actually believe it for a minute, as there is so much scientific data, visual confirmations. Not to mention a couple hundred tons of moon rock that didn't just magically appear out of nowhere.

I knew that man-landing-on-moon has been doubted by some. But did not know it was called Hoax Theory till now. So had 2 google it. For benefit of all here is what i found...
The Hoax Theory:

Apollo Moon Landing hoax conspiracy theories are claims that some or all elements of the Apollo Moon landings were faked by NASA and possibly members of other involved organizations. Some groups and individuals have advanced various theories which tend, to varying degrees, to include the following common elements:

* The Apollo astronauts did not land on the Moon;
* NASA and possibly others intentionally deceived the public into believing the landing(s) did occur by manufacturing, destroying, or tampering with evidence, including photos, telemetry tapes, transmissions, and rock samples;
* NASA and possibly others continue to actively participate in the conspiracy to this day.

I do believe in Hoax Theory. I have seen many evidences supporting them. The man-landing-on-moon is all fake, just for making people believe that USA was the first to land on moon. Though its not proved a full truth because US government will not allow anyone to investigate it.

lol this is ridiculous... first the 9/11 conspiracy theories now this? Well maybe you have seen many evidences supporting the conspiracy theory, but I'm sure you have seen many MORE evidences not supporting the bogus. Is it really worth it to fake something like this? I mean no one cares which country or who first landed on the moon.. we just care WHEN it happened, and I don't think USA would put their country at this much of a risk for something small like this.

When you come up with REAL evidence, let me know

May be you just need to browse around to find evidences because even I have seen a program in discovery channel saying its not possible to steep foot on moon. If its was true American would have penalized Discovery channel and many other sources by now or at least would have shown more evidences saying that they really landed on moon. I too feel its just an expensive movie shot in some studio.

this is one of MY FAVOURITE THEORY.can the American government fool the whole world,i have seen shows related to it,they have provided really concrete evidence against nasa,like the direction of shadow is different in each picture also where the shuttle landed,there is no sign of any burning which is caused by the heat generated by the rockets and also there is no sign of dust floating in the air.

This is just another conspiracy theory. Mythbusters addressed most of the main points about it in a good episode. You may not agree with their methods, but I loved their main point. The most that the Hoax movement has done is produce some theories. Mythbusters put together four simple tests that disproved them in a day or two. Is it really out of their ability to do this?

The simple truth is also that I believe they left relays of some sort up there. Radio telescopes can track them, so we know we've been there for awhile.

Finally, I have to agree with a point that Penn & Teller made. Doing a Hoax of this magnitude would take dozens of people (maybe a hundred or more). You are really going to tell me that there isn't someone in there who could come out with perfect proof.

Just look at Watergate. It's generally been theorized that any conspiracy will have one leak for every 12 people involved. There will almost always be someone who is angry, disappointed, guilty, or looking to make a good buck.

Like you said, there's always going to be a conspiracy theory for any conspiracy, and they're just theories. They can not be proven true, or they wouldn't be called THEORIES. I have seen a lot of documentaries and shit regarding the subject of this matter, and I can say that their evidence isn't "concrete".

And someone mentioned that there isn't any dust or anything, and the fire from the engine, how would the person know unless they went back to the moon after a short amount of time after the first landing?

I think it's possible that the first moon visit was a fraud, however man has obviously been to other planets etc. since then as I doubt those astronauts joy ride while they're up in space.

And as for why this conspiracy might have occurred, it's probably due to the fact that people back then were quite skeptical about this and thus the theory has stuck around.

I don't think it's possible.. if it was actually a fraud, don't you think the 6.3 billion people living in the world would have figured out that 1 person was faking a moon landing?

And isn't landing on other planets like harder than landing on the moon.. what you said doesn't make sense lol.

This is 100% correct. There was even a McDonads wrapper (something like it) in a shot of the moon floor. They fooled millions of people. There are hundreds of documentaries and videos out there detailing all the info on how they never landed on the moon. What happened anyway? They lose the plans of the ship? Why haven't we been back? Why does Neil Armstrong speak in cryptic at all his public appearances? There is far too many unanswered questions that people ignore. They will never go to the moon until what is there leaves, same as we should apparanetly be staying well away from Mars.

Well I still sort of believe that they landed on the moon, I mean come on, for ever hoax picture there is a lot of real, though this theory is quite well planned, maybe that's why Area 51 is like that... but I still have doubts, I believe there is something else at Area 51, and that's why there hiding it. Though the Americans are still the first to the moon, they got there on other missions, don't say they didn't...

But how can Neil Armstrong and crew be in Florida and area 51 at the same time???

Area 51 isn't really that secretive. You can look at the airstrips from a hilltop in Nevada. It was only secretive back then because they were testing all the cool aircraft technology that we have today.

Mythbusters basically busted all of these myths. I've never even remotely seen anything about a wrapper in the picture.

We have been back. We went back at least once and dropped a hammer and a feather at the same time. I know that. The only way that they could have faked the footage would have been to create a stable environment in a vacuum. There are also receivers up there that sensors on Earth can link up with.

Yes, ive also heard about this that as US Govt. was gonna show it live on TV so they had made an arrangement in studios with Stanley Kubrick, the legendary Director who made 2001 Space Odessey, in case anything went wrong.But it didn't.

Not only that, it isn't anything big anymore. Supposedly they government moved the "UFO's" for once. On some tv show about Area 51, they had the guys go where they used to be able to not go a few years back. Just some food for thought.

There are so many proofs available out on the net which suggests that America didnt step first on the moon and it was just 'STAGED' on the famous Area51..
People believe that in order to win a psychological battle over the Russians, it was staged..
The proofs vary from the intensity of light to the formation of shadows of the astronauts..
