Good propaganda. That's about the entirety of the compliments I can give this trash (leftist talking here BTW).

Since when is cutting government fascist? Since when is putting your hand up a Nazi salute? Since when does one random idiot in a group of thousands speak for all of the group?

Propaganda at it's best. Besides, the Nazi's were the national socialist worker's party.

It's the opposite. If not for freezing the frame, it would just be a wave. :D It doesn't.

And please, please don't do that. That's like saying the Democratic Party is for democracy (they're republicans).

I am pro Tea Party. I am pro 3rd party. I'm a revolutionary. I'm an economist.

If you oppose democratic and republican rule then you're a revolutionary.

this vote is not about the GOP just like the last two were about the GOP

this vote is a referendum on voter confidence on the guys running the show with a specific nod of disapproval toward the healthcare bill and the stimulus bill

the GOP, if they make significant gains, needs to be acutely aware of this fact and not make the same mistakes that the democrats did when they presumed they had a carte blanche mandate. Acting on that presumption is the fuel firing up the voters.

Exactly. They need to stick to their word of smaller government and reduced spending instead of getting drunk with the power to spend like they did last time.

You do realize thats like tossing the keys of your car to an alcoholic who has a dozen DUIs and saying "remember not to drink and drive!"
The idiocy of the American sheeple astonishes me sometimes. At least Obama's actually been working to provide needed health coverage to the people, and also has been giving people more money back in their paychecks and end of year taxes.

Yeah, I'm not impressed with the intelligence of our fellows. But at least a few chumps were sent packing last night.

Moore, OK
You may have sent a few chumps packing, but what about the chumps like Christine O'Donnell who is a nutcase plain and simple. The tells on TelOnU (a site where people can post reviews on companies, people and politicians) confirm the same:

"This crazy lady is a life long politician, trying to find a way to live off the election cycle like a blood sucking vampire. She will say anything to get elected, and will hook on any extremist movement to gain attention to herself."

http://www.telonu.com/reviews/christine-odonnell?nt=33553&type=Tells

You send a few chumps packing, but what about the image of the tea party itself - was it also sent packing?

Oh don't confuse what I want to see with what I expect. I fully expect a lot of those small government people to do just the opposite, but I'd rather see the keys in their hands than in the hands of the progressives who are even worse when it comes to spending money we don't have. The most effective anti-spending method will be the bickering of the two sides that will stop many bills from going anywhere, so the fact that Congress is more balanced in partisan terms will alone help.

Obama working on health care? The argument can be made that it will hurt the people, not help us. Costs are going up, coverage isn't going to be what he said when he was trying to ram it through, and the future of the market isn't pretty. It was a corporate handout, not a victory for the people in my opinion.

And are you really trying to argue Obama will cut more taxes than the Republicans?

He already has but most of the deep cuts have been aimed at the lower and now non-existent middle classes, in other words the people w/o lobbyists in D.C. so it's not exactly front page news. what we do hear about are the tax hikes on the rich. The debate on that aside (and a debate there is as you well know :p), Obama has lowered the overall tax burden.

Obama and the democrats have not cut any taxes. That was done by Bush. The democrats adjourned without taking action in the Bush cuts. Unless the democrats act prior to December 31 income taxes will automatically revert to the status pre-Bush cuts. That means a tax increase for everyone.

There are ZERO Obama cuts in the pipeline now nor did he sign any such cuts in the previous sessions. The 01 and 03 cuts expire in 60 days (slightly less actually)

So, Obama has not lowered the overall tax burden. Congress who could have lowered taxes did not lower it. The only lowering came from GW. Lastly, Congress adjourned w/out addressing the issue which WAS raised by many congressmen.

Although actual facts appear to be optional here are a couple articles on the current situation

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/121599-boehner-decries-punt-on-tax-cut-vote-
Thirty-nine House Democrats voted against adjournment after Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) urged opposition to the motion in a floor speech that said it would be irresponsible for Congress to leave without providing certainty on the tax issue. Dozens of Democrats in tough races voted against adjourning.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/o...ithout-extending-bush-tax-cuts-104013753.html

The final vote on the resolution to break for recess, which became a referendum on whether or not to vote on extending the tax cuts, only passed 210-209 after it was quickly gaveled to a close.

Good propaganda. That's about the entirety of the compliments I can give this trash (leftist talking here BTW).

I wouldn't call it good, even. It's frankly insulting to the victims of Nazism to liken any Tom, Dick and Harry you don't agree with to authoritarian genocidal racists. As much as I dislike the Tea Party, as much as I dislike neoliberalism, as much as I will always oppose the Right, this is very wrong.

Propaganda at it's best. Besides, the Nazi's were the national socialist worker's party.

Propaganda at its worst. Propaganda demeaning the suffering of millions of people.

Emphasising that they called themselves socialists means nothing - you and I both know they were corporatists, who utilised a popular term for their own gain. They were on the far right, while socialism is always always left wing.

Exactly. They need to stick to their word of smaller government and reduced spending instead of getting drunk with the power to spend like they did last time.

I think the focus should be on deliverance of services - on efficiency, effectiveness and availability - rather than the size of Government itself. Also, rather than lower taxes, people need to think about different and fairer taxes. Though of course I know we disagree on this.

Oh don't confuse what I want to see with what I expect. I fully expect a lot of those small government people to do just the opposite

Your expectations will be met.

I fully agree. I'm glad some of the few left-wingers spoke out and voted against the bill. America can but dream of single-payer healthcare, when the corrupt system ensures the Government are forever in the pockets of the bourgeoisie. The same capitalists that benefit from insurance-based healthcare at the expense of the well-being of the People, at the expense of the economy, and at the expense of taxpayers. The US is a blatant example of Government by and for the corporations.

It makes me sick, and i'm sure it makes you feel the same way.

And are you really trying to argue Obama will cut more taxes than the Republicans?

There is really very little separating the Democrats and Republicans. There's all this hype over certain differences, exacerbated by wild media bias, but objectively speaking, they are but two sides of the same filthy penny.

At a point of economic uncertainty, incidentally, it would be foolish to cut public spending. If you cut taxes at a time without cutting spending, you create a structural deficit in revenue.
