He may be the first black president, but that does not mean he will be good. Let's wait until he actually does some things before saying he's accomplished a lot. I am sick and tired of people thinking Obama is some kind of savior before he has even done anything. A LOT of people are going to be disappointed, I can tell you that (or maybe they'll remain ignorant and continue to blame it all on Bush.)

All i know is when a Republican takes office within a year we are either in a war or having rough financial times. Democrats care about ALL Americans not just the top 2 percent.

This is a common misconception. Recent Republican presidents may have gone to war, but traditionally the Republican party has been anti-war. This is only something we saw of late due to the neoconservative movement, which is now crushed. Also, the war in Afghanistan is totally justifiable. Before blaming it all on the Republicans, let's not forget Clinton's attacks on Bosnia or the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998.

The even bigger misconception about Republicans is that they care about only the rich. Most Republicans (true conservatives that is) believe in free markets, which have been proven to be better for the freedom of the people. They also allow for a more competitive market and one which is less likely to go into bubbles and recessions. Sadly, the neoconservatives haven't been true free market capitalists and that has been part of the problem, but a lot of it also comes from the socialist programs such as Fannie and Freddie, which were in fact created by Democrats.

Just for the record, I am against the neoconservative movement and I really hope the Republican party returns to its anti-war capitalist ways.
