True, it's sort of off-topic but to look at it differently and more on-topic Chavez is definitely the "best" mix of fascist and socialist president right now, except of course North Korea and Belarus.
Both of these are openly socialist and with North Korea as an example where the president has absolute all power, this is what is the consequence of socialist countries. Belarus too, everything that is against the Belarusian government is slaughtered in Belarus and not accepted. And now the same is happening in Venezuela. I still don't understand why people keep voting for people who they must see are going to lead them down the same path as Soviet, Cambodia and North Korea.
It has to do with fascism, totalitarianism, dictatorship and SOCIALISM in one.
Stalinism is the consequence of the policies Lenin implemented on the Russian society. When a part of the community we all live in gets so much power, people like Stalin will pop up and take advantage of it.
Of course it was, but this has got nothing to do with their personal hatred for one another. It has to do with the evil society Lenin started after he killed the Tsar family, and then later on when Stalin got to power he saw that this type of society gives me quick and unbeatable power to do what I want.
I don't think the argument that they are all not dead, is a comforting one. They were still murdering people to get to power, there's no excuse for it. And it's a typical history of how socialists go to power through history. By killing people they didn't like, especially people who created large values and job-creation. That would be the worst for socialists to witness.

They never had to. Capitalism is in our humanity, we all like to win, we all like to do a good job. You don't have to kill to make that part of a society, but if you're going to remove it, you'd have to, because people wouldn't want it.
I think South Americans have had a much more brutal history with socialism than with capitalism. Largest terrorist problem on that continent is created by terrorist leftist groups.
