The thing about this is, the only politicians that'll support this are the ones who don't worry about their election campaigns, which is effectively none. Still, even though I'm rather skeptical about the people behind to the Wolf PAC I'd like to see something done about big money in politics. This issue is neither democrat nor republican, it's really both.

Indeed, Red states are pushing for a convention as well.

I think it would be a good idea. It seems many people have been quite displeased with our current government. Besides the constitution is a document that reflects the people sdo it ought to reflect the people of this century. I think both sides present some rather good points

I'll have to read up a lot more about it before I have a full opinion, but my initial opinion was positive about the idea of this ratification. Reading into it more it looks as though it tackles the decision made that corporations could spend unlimited funds on ads, but the ruling left the caps on direct donations. Personally, I feel that it should be limited on ads as well, within "reason" whatever that'd be I don't know. The issue is that it lends itself to the idea that the days of the candidate putting in a more personal, and human image is lost in the flood of ads... and that's especially true with the last two elections where the ads themselves were freakin' depressingly negative

Personal funding must be banned with each candidate having equal access to public funds. Let candidates win on their record and platform, not on who can run a better PR campaign.
