I am an independent conservative. Both parties are similar the only difference I see is the news media on television hates the R people, the hypocrisy of it all is absolutely stunning. Obama has done everything Bush had done but more, Clinton seemed to be conservative on a fiscal level but really it was the legislative branch that was.
While I agree the major players are pretty much the same in practice, I have a somewhat different view as to the media.
The Media in the United States is focused on controversy...they tend to grab the stuff that hits folks in the gut and run with it. When the Dems do something they can use, they do. When the Republicans do so...they use it.
It comes down to which creates more controversy, and without question that goes to the Republican Party. The Media has had no problem going nuts on Lybia, unemployment, Obamacare, etc....
Just as they focus on the comments, actions, and policies of Republicans. Unfortunately for the Republicans...they seem to be doing and saying alot of rather media worthy things.
The media tends to preform PR hatchet jobs on people, making them out to be way worse than they are. One person comes to mind, and that is Sarah Palin. She didn't do anything particularly newsworthy, aside from ruining for vice president, people like Eric holder are responsible for countless deaths. Barmy frank molested children and operated a brothel, thelist goes on. But Sarah Palin is a demon? For.what exactly?

Sarah Palin was in the news primarily because she was prone to ignorant comments that seemed to paint her as a quite embarrassing choice (if not dangerous), for the second highest office in the country...she created controversy. Barny frank?...I have not heard of the accusations against him, and frankly find them unlikely. Eric Holder, his position may very well mean he causes deaths...but it seems perhaps your desire is to turn this discussion into a partisan bash fest.

Jo biden the king of stupid statements was running against palin for the same office.
I didn't state that to start apartidian debate, but to illistrate the media sets their sights on somebody they dont like and just assassinates their charater. What did sarah palin say that was worse than what biden said?
The obvious result of continuing along the line of discussion you seem to be wanting is you defending Palin, and expecting me to defend Biden. I do not wish to go there, as I do not much care.
Biden has made plenty of mistakes, and Palin is simply rather ignorant. I do not like either one overly much, nor did I come here to be placed into the position of arguing rather than debating issues that actually mean something.
I recommend you find someone else to play that game, as I am not interested.

You made it partisan, you called Palin ignorant twice with no provocation. She ran a state she isn't stupid, nither is Biden but the media didn't assassinate his reputation.

My opinion of Palin has no basis in partisanship, it is based on observation and real world examples. Palin seems to have "Assassinated" her own reputation, the media simply reported what she did to do so.
Biden did not suffer the same fate because he did not show himself as ignorant, foul mouthed and pissy perhaps, but not ignorant.
Basically, as I have stated...the media reports controversy, and Palin creates it far more than Biden.

I find it likely you are well aware (as are most breathing people), of the numerous statements Palin has made that show ignorance of topic, irrational thought, and a general weakness of mind. If indeed you have somehow missed them all...I recommend a google search.
Some media does have a lean depending on which you refer too, but that does not constitute "The Media", as I do not see how one can place Fox and MSNBC in the same bracket. Both are indeed a part of the "Media"...yet neither should be taken as anything other than what they are.

She didn't actually say that, Tina Fay said that. What Palin said (and it was just as stupid) what that she had international experience because she could see Russia from Alaska. While this is technically true it's only from a single Alaskan island (which she never visited maker her claim of seeing Russia from Alaska false) and the only part of Russia visible is yet another solitary and uninhabited (not counting the early warning Station the Russian military maintains) island. If anything the real comment is dumber, at least the fake can be brushed off as a joke.
If that is the only thing that makes her an idiot then what about every other person on this planet that said something silly.
I just don't understand why people assaulted her character, I am very confused.
