Wisconsin recall vote - projections?

Today is judgement day for Governor Walker and Wisconsin. Do you think the Governor will get recalled? Late polls showed Walker had a narrowing lead.

This could be quite an important election given Walker's position with the unions and collective bargaining as well as the momentum it could create for each respective side heading towards the November presidential election.

Governor Walker is a lying POS that needs to get thrown out. I understand the need to cut spending but tell people what you're cutting and by how much. The man got elected because everyone thought he was going to cut fraud and inefficiencies, not gut the unions.

At least he can claim to not be the most hated governor in America, that 'honor' goes to my POS governor that has managed to make his own party hate him.

How did Walker gut the unions? They were sitting on both sides of the bargaining table- not exactly fair. And requiring dues even if the teacher did not want to pay them? How is that fair? This years membership numbers- which dropped to about half- show that even the teachers are not all onboard with having the dues subtracted from their paychecks, etc.

Unions can be just as devastating as corporations when given preferential treatment- we saw it with UAW and we see it with a lot of current public sector unions (DC anyone?). When it comes to school and education it should be about the kids and getting them a good education not about how much the union can lobby the government to line its pockets with taxpayer money. Christie in New Jersey has made some very valid points on that matter too.

I'm not disputing that. My point is that Governor Walker said nothing about going after the unions. Yes he said he'd balance the budget but people expected him to cut the things I mentioned in my last post, not defund the unions. Had he ran on an anti-union platform and won, he wouldn't be vilified nationwide like he is. It's the lies more then the cuts that has everyone up in arms.

I haven't followed his campaign or political career nearly enough to comment on that, but saying you won't do something (which would make it a lie) and not saying anything about the matter (not a lie) are two different things. Either way, we will see how the voters feel today.

Everyone isn't up in arms. Thes ones who are up in arms are the union thugs and their lackies. The union got trounced and rightly so. God bless America.

Everyone is up in arms, he's 1 of the most unpopuler governors in America. Wisconsin had massive turnout on both sides but he only won by 52%. Impressive with a 25% voter turnout, not so much when most everyone showed up at the polls. 1/2 the state hates him, most o America is annoyed by him. He's not in as strong a position as the Repubs are trying to spin it.

I'm spinning? You deny there was massive voter turn out on both sides? You deny that Gov. Walker is held in low esteem by the American people? You deny that he only won a bare majority?
