What if I made my own religion?

So I'm sitting here at 5am studying for an exam and I'm thinking about the University's policy on religious holidays and exams. How closely do you follow your religion?

For example, how many of you pray x number of times per day? Work on the sabbath? Don't eat certain foods? Personally, the only rule I obey is not to eat certain foods. I'm not even honestly sure why I do that considering im not religious at all.

What kept the Greeks faithful to their religion?

From my understanding, Greece was at one point very religious due to all the statues and literature about the Greek Gods they believed in such as Zeus and so on. But what kept them so religious? I don't recall reading about that, I know they feared the Gods but there had to be more than that.

Do you think religion should be taught at schools?

I feel there should be optional classes on religions in schools. Because if both the parents are working professionals they hardly get time to talk or preach their children about religion. So schools would be better options for teaching religion. What do you guys think?

Would you still follow the same religion if you were not born in it?

Simple question...what if you were born in some other faith? Would you somehow find your way to the one you are practicing or stick to the one you were born in? Are you practicing your religion by choice or simply by birth? Honest replies please.
