Honestly, the comment is racially stereotyping, but it is only offensive to people who are easily offended. That being said, others have been utterly torn apart for lesser comments.
this whole notion of being offended by silly comments is absurd to me. Come on people grow a thicker skin.

I have a lot of issues with my president, the one before him, & the one before that. I will say that I have more issues with this president than the last two though.
Oh, & I voted for Obama in the 2008 primaries, came to my senses by the time the general election rolled around though.
I fell for his pretty words, "we're not red states & blue states, we're the United States". I absolutely loved that....then "they cling to their bibles & guns...."
Examples please....I smell straw!

A cop responds to a call that a home might be being broken into, after two men were seen forcing the door open. The black lawful resident doesn't appreciate that the cop was just responding to a call, and instead of simply showing evidence he lived there, decides to verbally fight with the cop. Obama takes the side of the black guy against the cop.
A black teen is seen meandering around, after dark, in a black hoodie, a gung-ho neighborhood watchman calls police. By all credible evidence, the black teen assaults the watchman, who then fires in self-defense. Obama takes the side of the black teen.
Do you really think Obama would have commented on either of these cases, let alone took the wrong side, if blacks weren't involved? Did I step on one of your racist nerves?

I do believe that Eric Holder is a racist, maybe because Obama hasn't slapped Holders hands for his blatant racism, some might think that Obama is a racist.
Do you honestly believe that Obama claims to be white? I've heard him speak of his "white grandmother" but take a look at who his mentor was from the time he was 10 years old until he left Hawaii to go to, I believe it was Occidental College in Ca.

Wrong, Zoomer. Examples of racist behavior are not strawmen to the point that Obama is racist.

& Holder has "graciously" agreed to stay on as USAG. I had so hoped that he would leave....course I had so hoped that Obama would "leave".
There wasn't a chance for Holder to choose to leave. Holder was just trying to preserve plausible denial that he was forced out, should Obama have chosen to replace him, as Obama should have.
I don't believe I've ever heard President Obama refer to himself as black, white, or indifferent. You are insinuating that he's a racist because he didn't slap Holder's hands for (what you call) blatant racism. Way too subjective an opinion for my taste.
The point is, I don't "think" Obama is a racist at all. If he were, he would hate his own Mother. And I have never seen or heard of anything he's done as President that would lead me to believe he is.
That all said, you're welcome to your delusions (only my opinion based on what I've read). None of our opinions have any real merit anyway. You go right ahead and hate the man. It's your hate, you deserve it~
While I understand the need to vent frustration, perhaps even express negative opinion...I think perhaps this thread is at risk of becoming something this site works to avoid.
