It's a historical step taken by the Obama administration similar to the Truman administration's desegregation of the military and women in the military had been banned from combat roles by the Defence Department's 1994 memo, which was subject to a couple of lawsuits and Obama may have been forced to make a politically-correct decision to end gender segregation in the military. Some argue that women do not have the strength to serve in combat units and their presence would compromise those units' combat effectiveness but allowing some qualified female soldiers to serve in combat roles may be necessary in this day and age.

Demoralizing the Military Part II

Part I: openly gay men and women in the military.
Part II: women serving in the combat arms.

To make part II happen we will have to lower our standards.

What's his name in the White House hates this nation.

What's the point in continuing to say what's his name? If you forgot, you can look it up on Google- quicker than typing that out everytime. But I'll help you out: his name is Obama. Or is this a Lord Voldemort kinda thing? :p

What's his name really doesn't deserve to be called by name unless one is complete. Sometimes I will take the time and call him the two term Marxis, flexible with our enemies. president Barack Hussein Obama.

But usually he is just what's his name in the White House.

It seems pretty clear you have no respect for the President...we get it.

Such childish actions tend to make one seem like the kid we all knew in grade school.....you know, the one everyone made fun of?

Seems like a waste of time.

Today I Learned:

TIL women were allowed to enter combat roles in the Israel. They performed at a level equal to men but the program was still abolished for two reasons: Islamist fighters refused to surrender to women, and the men in the unit would lose all combat discipline when a woman injured.

I agree that "what's his name" has a deep and seething hatred for America and wants to put America "in its place", to quote his father.

Respect is not given, it is earned. He has done nothing to earn my respect.

Women have higher pain tolerance. Women are better shots. The strength advantage of men is base on averages, women trained to run a 5 minuet mile with an 80 lb pack who go to the gym on a regular basis aren't average. If Islamist refuse to surrender to women, they'll have to face the indignity of being killed by a women. Discipline issues are the result of no training, once training is adapted to the reality of women warriors the problem will be resolved.

I think that covers all the main arguments.

Why not? If they want to be and can handle it mentally/physically, then why not?

Simply because women are women and men are men and some instances sex equality is ridiculous because they are not built the same way. Both sexes have some things that they are best suited to and overlapping for political correctness never works out in the end.

I would point out your own reply

"Both sexes have some things that they are best suited to and overlapping for political correctness never works out in the end."

So...what if the male of our species has advantages in a situation where brute strength is important?
