GAZA CITY ? "Dad, I'm dying."

The words keep echoing in Kamal Awaga's ears, sending jolts of pain into his feeble, wounded body.

These were the last words uttered by his 9-year-old son, Ibrahim, before he ended up as a practicing target for Israeli soldiers.

"They killed my son in cold blood," says the grief-stricken father, still in a state of shock.

Ibrahim joined more than 350 children killed by Israel in its three-week onslaught on the coastal enclave...

Any thoughts or opinions on this, it made me sick to the stomach to know soldiers could do this to such a young lad.

It makes me ask what is the work coming to if grown men can kill a young boy without any mercy or remorse what so ever.

Acts like this should be punished I don't agree with the death sentence but with such lack of mercy or remorse it does make me want to reconsider my opinions.

That is terrible. I can't imagine the kind of people who would do things like that. If it were up to me, I would put those people up of execution. I don't care if they were once good people or not. You do a thing like this one time and it's enough. These people should burn in hell.

Not very surprising, there has been worse cases of child abuse, but I see how this can be one of the worst.. I mean using a 9-year-old boy as a "target practice"... just makes me sick. I know if I was him, I would've just killed myself somehow (I'm sure he does too, but I'm guessing there's no way he could do that).

Thats horrible. I don't know how men can do that to a defense less child but then again it is what they are used to doing and a lot of those men go unpunished.

Actually, all of those kind of men go unpunished.. I mean unless we actually do something about it (which would screw up our economy even more 'cause it'll take so much damn money), then there's nothing we can do to stop them. I still don't understand why the feel the need to harm little children, I mean just go fucking harm yourself god damnit... you selfish little cowards, just because your in power doesn't mean you have the right to do this to ANYONE (do it to yourself, like I care). God when I read something like this, it just makes me so angry..

Israel whines about cruelty but they do the same back.

Those soldiers are disgusting, as a matter of fact they aren't even soldiers - they are criminals! A child is innocent, even if they have some malice within them. It sickens me to live in a world like this, it looks like man is still uncivilized, he just wears better clothes now..

I haven't read this news in newspaper or seen it on tv,i just read it here and this is one of the most un human thing i have ever heard,why would anyone do such thing and what good can come out by killing 9 year olds.If israeli govt knows about this and not doing anything about it then it should be ashamed of itself,they should punish those soldiers so that this sort of thing doesn't get repeated again.

I agree with you there, those soilders should be punished, but will they? It makes me sick knowing what is going on in the world and how much people get away with

I can't believe the men went unpunished!
I also don't agree with the idea "death sentence" but this action truly deserves it.

The tradegy of one potential suicide bomber being killed before he can inflict pain and misery on innocents aside, the choice of target for target practice made perfect sense.

If you can hit a nine year old boy at some distance, you'll be able to hit a grown man at the same distance. Kudos to the soldiers for such an inventive training methodology.

In addition, I am dubious about the source of the article. I would have liked to see a more objective source. The source is heavily biased against Israel.

Indeed. But then that is always the issue with news coming out of the gulf. It's all biased one way or the other. I barely trust the BBC, let alone CNN / Faux News etc.

Ahhhh we are on the same page on this one. For example during the war at the beginning of last year it was pretty amazing how Hamas had those shocking photos of attrocities ready minutes after missiles had hit, and how very efficiently and swiftly those photos had made their way to the press, even when no media was allowed in that area. Most of what came out of there from the media was hearsay. BBC was at least prepared to acknowledge that when they made their reports or commented on the TV News.

Down with Hamas and the Likud Party. Power to the People.

We need to live together in solidarity. People are different, but that doesn't mean they are better or worse. We need to respect individuals and stop this stupid sectarian division.
