Alexander Cockburn: Obama's chief of staff quits the White House-he won't be missed.

I am not sure the President won't miss him as he is highly respected in that circle. Furthermore, a lot of the problems the administration and Democrats currently face are because of their own selfish policies and the unwillingness to listen to the people- another guy in the spot of Emanuel probably wouldn't have changed public perception towards them much.

Personally, I am no fan of Emanuel, but either way they will just replace with him with another politics player- no big deal, it isn't going to change much.
