You earlier mentioned that people would stop their criminal acts, or at least some, because they received more wealth. ... You need help or in some cases a hard punishment, not more money.

Interesting concept. Do you have a reference for the proposition that hard punishment makes people better? Some people who believe that beat their children.

did the parents lose control of their guns, if so it is their fault not my 2nd amendment rights fault.

And we all know that your toy rights are more important than somebody else's dead child?

Guns used 2.5 million times a year in self-defense. Law-abiding citizens use guns to defend themselves against criminals as many as 2.5 million times every year -- or about 6,850 times a day.1 This means that each year, firearms are used more than 80 times more often to protect the lives of honest citizens than to take lives.2
I don't believe it.

1. What is your authority for that proposition? Sounds dodgy to me.

2. If true, America has a bigger gun problem than I thought.

3. How can you call a nation that violent a land of freedom and liberty? How does that state of society support my constitutional right to pursuit of happiness?

In some cases we don't even need to give the person a chance to get better, using capital punishment helps a lot.

Ah yes. An advocate of "beat them into submission". That goes right along with not understanding how poverty affects violence and social mores. :help:

And with some people it got nothing to do with poverty, and everything to do with beliefs.

I don't suppose you'd care to expand on that, as long as you've intimated that it doesn't really matter?

No, it could matter. But I think a lot of people are motivated to commit crime by something far different than economic reasons.

Could be the cause, but doesn't have to be.

You are dodging the question. Because of the manner in which you dismissed the poverty issue I suspect that you lack the necessary information and/or background to debate this issue at all. Anybody can be a nay-sayer, but at that point all you are doing is trolling. I thought trolling wasn't permitted here?

It was a direct answer to your question, that's neither or. Just a direct reply.
