There are new faces, new positions, and certainly new attitudes on both sides.

I see hope coming, perhaps even a measure of what was once there, the tea party is fading, democrats have a few to make them rethink, and the GOP has many.

Coudl we be watching a reset?

The gridlock effect won't go away soon. Due to extreme and VERY well planned nation wide Gerrymandering (ALEC) many districts .....like mine...are hopelessly Repub for the rest of the decade. In Ohio more people voted for a DEM for Congress than a Repub...and the Repubs...got 3 times more seats. The State Legislature..same deal. You can look at quite a few states...Michigan,Pennsylvania,Wisconsin and DEMOCRACY is perverted to the extent that Dems would need a huge landslide to just break even.

However...that has no effect on the White House or Senate. The Teabaggers so tainted the GOP brand they will have a hard time winning anyplace but the Slave States and some heavily Farm/Fundamentalist states...and they may blow it in a few more of those.

Some folks may vote for a liar...or an idiot...but if the candidate is BOTH...that only works well in the primaries.

No. I don't see anything different happening, especially with Ron Paul gone. Perhaps there are a couple of sane voices in the Senate, like Rand Paul or Mike Lee, but the rest in Congress and Senate won't change much. Heck, even Ron Paul's replacement has said he doesn't know much about the Federal Reserve!
