I don't think that would be a good idea. See I am one of those people that is against the health care bill. And the democrats keep saying if we "understood it" we would love it. But I am sure there are smarter people on here that would be much more help than I could ever be.

Here is my view in a nutshell.
1. I don't think the government does much of anything right.
2. As someone stuck with a "government plan" they (Medicare) are a pain in the butt to deal with at times.
3. Call it a power grab or whatever you want, they just keep talking about "making history". If this thing goes through I think they will make history in my opinion as making one of the biggest screw ups in our history. And I know there have been many.
Considering his opinion of Medicare, I think he holds a similar opinion of past administrations. And I agree, Medicare sucks.
It sure does. And it takes them about 2 months to even tell a doctor what they will pay on something. And that can change. Every time I go to a doctor I ask them "what do I owe you" before I leave. They don't know! I went in Nov. and just got the bill last week that I owe $17.58! It took that long for someone to figure out they don't pay for stuff like "vein puncture" with a blood test. They figure that should cost $3.00 of the bill. Last time they paid it all. Same doctor and same test. It took that long last time too. You can never think "they will pay this" because they may not pay anything at times.
My country will say no to a fine upstanding person wanting a better education. But when my neighbor's grandson got out of prison they sent him to school, gave him and his new wife a "medical card". When their baby was born they picked up the tab. As I said I just don't understand their thinking on what they already do. Maybe that is why I don't trust them doing any better on this thing.
I think Obama should stay out of it. I think the senate and the house should take one piece of the bill at a time and vote up or down. Do it all right out in the open. Let each law maker sink or swim on their own record. This "herd mentality" is not good for any of us in my opinion.
Then when the senate and house agree on something Obama can either sign it or send it back.
