I live in America and there is absolute freedom to practice any religion that you chose to. This make it so that we have many, many different religions all mixed together.

I am from the UK.

A little like America we are free to practice any religion we choose.

However above didn't mention (as far as I am aware this applies to America as well) that only a few religions are actually allowed to be given a religious status making them tax exempt so they don't have to pay tax I'm not sure of all the religions that have this status in the UK but most of the above you mentioned plus seeks and Jehovah Witnesses and Judaism all have this status.

The Church of Scientology is one I know of that has applied for this status and recognised religion status in the UK and has been refused by anger from the general public regarding the History of the Church.

Hope that helps and gives you some idea of how things work here in the UK :)

As sarthak said ours is secular country, there's complete freedom in practicing any religion. And I think our country India has got the highest number of religions :)

And I would like to say that its never a religion which causes disputes neither the common man does that. Its some selfish people, at reputable positions, who causes them and creates misunderstandings between people of different religions.

Well, I'm from Slovenia and I think you can find all kinds of religions here. Christian, catholic, muslim... I could go on... The only religion that seems to be lacking here is Hinduism. There really aren't any Indian people here. But more and more people seem to be moving to Slovenia, which means I can expect a lot more diversity and cultures I guess.

As I live in Canada, I really can't say how many religions there are in my country.. being the mluticultural country that we are, we have pretty much every religion out there.. being the majority Muslims and Christians.

However, when I used to live in Korea, almost everyone was a Christian.

With a population of a billion and more people, it is kind of difficult for a layman to keep track of the number of religions followed ;)

However at last count, there were more than 80% Hindus, 16% Muslims, Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians, Buddhists, Jains, and the rest complete the 100.

I’m from India too it’s a land of multi ethnicity and cultures. They are different religions some are originated and some are migrated. Here everybody has freedom to follow their own religion. All religious festivals are celebrated and our government declares holidays for festivals of all major religions.

Well, since I'm from Sweden but living in USA I will write some of the religions in Sweden.

That are two major religions, Christianity and Islam. And we have some more that follows Christianity then Islam.

But the thing with Sweden, the majority of the population doesn't believe in anything so we have kinda few people that believes in something in Sweden, and thats is kinda sad.

I am from Indian and we have hiduism, islam, christianity, sikhism, parsi, jewish, buddhist and a very low percentage of atheists as well.the one thing i truly love about Indian is that every religion is accepted and respected by everyone(except some political extreamists).i've seen hindu people going to churches and sikh people going to hindu temples and it follows for every religion vice versa.

Sir, I would humbly like to correct you, as there are about 95% Muslims in Pakistan, and the rest include the religions you pointed out.

In America we have this belief that we are tolerant of all religions. In reality Christianity is the only one that's really accepted.

I wouldn't say that Christianity is the only one that is really accepted. It all really depends on who you talk to. I am not Christian, but I do feel accepted by most of society- the people that really judge me based on religion are just living in the past and I think as time passes tolerance of other religions continues to grow (especially as people are starting to become less religious altogether.)

In the UK, I must say its very hard to know who belongs to what faith. Its very multicultural. My community is full of muslims, yet we regularly I see many who are probably not. And that's one of the things I enjoy about England, the diversity, the chance to learn about others.

I live in Canada and all religions are accepted as far as I have seen. I don't live in a huge city though so it might not be so peaceful in someplace like Toronto. Even atheism seems to be accepted. I mean if I tell anyone they'll ask me "omg, how can you not believe in ANYTHING." That's just out of ignorance though - although I suppose a lot of hate is.
