Is Obama a good president?

I have noticed on political forums, almost every view and opinion of a politician is one of an extreme nature. Individuals either believe they are the bee's knees or the worst person in the history of mankind.

This, of course, is nothing more than bias and partisan politics.

In regards to Obama, I will take the middle of the road for his overall performance. He has done a mediocre job. I give him a 'C.' He has done extremely well on certain matters, and has made mistakes and poor decisions on others.

In regards to his foreign policy, surprisingly enough, has been his strongest area, which has pleasantly shocked me. When he took office, I suspected this would be his weakest area and would excel on domestic issues.

Turns out, it has become quite the opposite.

My theory on this is that it is because of the type of people that political forums generally attract. Those who are very invested, especially emotionally, in their beliefs tend to want to get the word out, especially when it is far from the normal curve. They want to offer their side of the story which they feel the media, etc. might not be offering. The middle part of the normal curve is harder to find on such forums for the same reason- they don't feel the need to go debate things, especially when things are okay.

As for the thread's question, I do not think Obama was a good president, but then again I am not sure who out of today's politicians that could get elected would be a good president.
