No, ISLAM needs to be exterminated. Your religion actually specifies and instructs how to exterminate all infidels (nonbelievers). The sole goal of Islam is world domination, which I cannot allow.

And what religion doesn't?

And the fairy tales continue. I don't know what you Americans are being taught in schools, but Muslims have been the scum of the world for centuries. They deserve to be eradicated.

But why should you want us to destroy them? If they were all gone, how could you possibly continue to be comforted by your superiority?

I agree islam is a intracate network that governs the people. And I am sure they can get it to work once they settle disputes on what islam should be. And God bless them for it. I however do not want to live under sharia law, where yes on paper it is very peaceful and tranquil, but the application is not. Many times we hear about women being stoned and caned for allowing their selves to be seen. Death penalty for homosexuals, life long servitude for women. It may say live and let live but it is not practiced as a whole that way. If you doubt me, take a lady to the beach in a bikini, and tell the police of vice and vertue that your religion permits it. It just will not work here in the US.

As for the statements about american views on islam, yes I am sure its skewed much as are views are on all sub cultures. We see a polorizing charicter and it taints our view, and that is true world wide. I am from texas and I have a friend from austria and he told me how suprized he was to see streets and cars, he actually thought we all ride hourses carried six shooters on belts and gambled in saloons. However of course everybody rides in cars, you aren't legally allowed to carry guns on the outside of your clothing and gambling is illegal.

Please, do NOT compare Muslims with the civilised world. That would make you an idiot.

You do realize that the Muslim world had what some call a "golden age" for about five centuries back there, right?

Art, architecture, science, medicine. All the basics of a civilized society. I find it highly doubtful that they did any worse than the Catholics in Europe.

Yeah, I suppose. I just don't think that people like him should get a pass, especially on the internet where everything is so anonymous. It makes them feel confident that they can hide behind a computer screen and fill cyberspace with hatred, and the last thing I want to see is a bunch of newly-confident psychos on the loose.

It is 2012, after all.

You have made it clear that you view your opinions are fact, because they are yours, hence the definintion of the word fascist. I will no longer ingage you. You are rendered null and void because you can only parrot back what you have been told, enjoy the defaning scilence.

He cannot hide, infact this forum is a place where he is exposed in the open and the truth about him is evident. He represents a minor continum of small minded people.

I hope he continues to post, I could use a good laugh

I'm reminded of an old T-shirt

I once saw a T-shirt with the slogan "I never met a Nazi a good boot to the head couldn't cure". Wise words, my friends, wise words. With some people, no amount of debate or logic is going to cure the hate that lies curled in their hearts.

True. If you change his heart you can change his mind.:)

Or just be a good neurosurgeon. Remove a few memories here, implant a few memories there and even the most ardent fascist can be turned into a tree hugging socialist Jew. :D

Say what?

Apart from the fact there is no neurosurgeon on earth who could perform such a procedure, I am surprised David seems to think the only alternative to an ardent fascist is a tree-hugging socialist Jew. How about a moderate American with a belief in (mildly regulated) capitalism, a love of the outdoors and a strong distaste for extremists of all types?

A moderate, average American?

BOOOOOORING!

Fascists would be funny if the weren't so dangerous. Check out our friend's replies here and tell me it doesn't crack you up: http://www.politicalfray.com/showthread.php?t=2621

Please cite the source for your assertion, David. I have read nothing of the sort and I read voraciously, but I am willing to admit I'm wrong if you can provide me with the evidence.

David, I really don't understand why you insist on this psuedointellectist bullshit (sorry, I have to be frank) in so many of your arguments. I understand the "future" might seem cool, but you seem to think that things that are not possible in any definable time scale going forward already exist merely because someone says it might be possible. You do this with your dreams of an automated economy, ultra-long human life, and now this. And honestly, it makes you look really foolish and naive.

This one hits closest home to me because it is most closely related to my area of study right now. This article talks about scientists manipulating the well-known and defined CA1 and CA3 components of the hippocampal pathway with drugs and electricity- something that we knew should be possible from past neurophys findings (basically since we've done it before and it makes complete sense physiologically). It is interesting because it deals with the hippocampus and its memory-making abilities, but this is no where near even the start to "implanting" memories. For one, different memories can take very different paths throughout the brain and we do not know which take what for the VAST majority of things- especially for things that you would want to implant. Not only that, but we don't even know most of the actual circuits in the brain! And on top of that, we do not know if based on perception due to physiology if the pathways would be different for different individuals for the same thing, which the article mentions.

You need to understand that these "science" sites that you are reading are catering to people like you who want to here stuff like that. In reality the research is no where near anything like what you think it is. It is merely a far-off long-term possibility. That does not mean the research being done cannot be just as exhilarating though, if you can learn to appreciate it for what it actually is. If you are really interested, I suggest reading some textbooks or actual scientific articles (or even an academic blog) instead of these vague populist articles.
