there is a lot of wisdom from such a young man, I have often thought of religion as a curse.

Jesus's own religion ordered his death.

An excellent video, however, it would have been better without the attempt to rap, and without the flashing at the start that nearly gave me an epileptic fit. Obviously his message is spot on. Christ isn't a religion. He is God. Serving him is what we were created to do.

There is a good observation about how other religions are just made up of rules. There are rules to follow in Christianity too, but nothing in terms of our salvation depends on them. Salvation is completely dependent on whether or not we know Christ and love Him.

I looked at this video again, and it did seem a bit contradictory, when he said he is against religion but pro christanity. He contradicted himself. Christianity is religion, to follow the teachings of jesus is religon. Jesus did say it was done, but that is a religious statement.

A confused man.

yo dudes religion is a bad thing especially in terms of government there is a reason that on our constitution it says that church and state should be separate that is part of the reason that we broke off from England because there was needless violence over a simple thing such as a difference in belief the only ok occasion when religion was join to government was when the edict of Milan was issued even then it was not an ideal situation because religious ideals shaped the government

I'm not happy to have decisions taken by an elected government that are based on a religious belief which I do not follow.
Religion should have no part in government.

i feel that religion should not ifluence the decision of politicians but should be reconized in the way it used to ie in god we trust being said in the pledge of alliagance, or calling the chritmas tree a christmas tree not stupid freaking holiday tree Or at least in america a country wich was heavily influenced by god during its creation

The first amendment protects the right to not practice religion too, so its role in creation is somewhat irrelevant. (there are also theories that some of the founding fathers were actually atheists, and undoubtedly some of the population was etc.) I think God has a role in tradition, but not necessarily legislation or how people are treated.

Here in the US we are governed by the people. Politicians have to obey their constituance, and when 70% of the nation is christian, in order to be elected would mean you have to appeal to the people. Give the people what they want, and if that is a loose basis of religous ethics then that is who the government will be, they are a reflection of the people. To tell 70% of a nation their beliefs don't matter and polititions will not entertain them would be a dictatorship.

If you don't want to live around christians then don't.

But atheists are not really atheists, they are agnostics, because religion was what told us it is wrong to kill, or steal, or hurt children. Unless you believe its okay to kill people you have some bit of theism in you.

Love eachother? Is that such a bad thing? That is what my religion says

Religous people are influenced by religion. You would have to abolish the first amendment to ensure politicians were not influenced by religion.

You have the right to choose your religion weather it is christianity or no religion. You do not have the right to live in a world free from religion. Because the religious people have the right to exist, and vote and participate in their government just like th non-religious do.

i do not think it should affect how people are treated either just it should not be taken out of the traditons assiotiacted with that religion i.e christmas

Religion says don't kill people, don't steal, don't take someone elses spouse. Are you saying that those laws are bad, they come straight from many religious texts and nowhere else unless it was inspired by religion. Perhaps its not religion that people are against, perhaps it is hypocrites that use religion to levy political positions. With out religion some other theocracy will replace it and it will be used by hypocrites to levy political positions. The problem is not religion, constitution, or moral code. The problem is hypocracy.

I think we should eleminate hypocracy from the government

I agree but something I must say is that I am guilty of being a hypocrit from time to time, I hate it when I do that, probably more than when others do. But the desire to change along with the hard work of changing that makes it seem so diffacult.

What are your thoughts on that dodgefb

I say that you admitting the problem is the first big step in dealing with it. I think you will work it out in the future. There are many that can not even admit to themselves what they are.:)

I think all people are a little hypocritical, being that we are imperfect beings. Certain hypocracies may be measured as a worse form.
