Question for Christians #1

It isn't about, do this or you will suffer, if that was the case no one would ever get to "heaven" and there would be no point.

Fear works in some cases but it is a primative method.

The way I think about it is treat others as though you love them and treat your self with the same love and you will be in your masters domain.

you are not answering the question you are dodging it

a simple yes or no

That doesnt make sense. God forgives those who repent..no matter what they did presumably....so what happens to 'believers' who dont ask for forgiveness before they reach their death bed?

Answer to Question #1

Is God all-forgiving?

If so, why would he send people to hell?

(Full disclosure: I am an agnostic.)

Hi Patrick;
The answer is not that He sends them there, but that they make the decision themselves to go, it is by choice. God offers life, and life more abundantly, all you need to do is believe in and trust him. Faith is the evidence of thing HOPED for, the proof of those things not seen. God is a God of second, and third, and fourth...you catch my drift...chances...you have to work awefully hard to get yourself into hell, but it can be done. The choice is yours! Choose heaven!
Blessings,
Debra

Yahweh is a Sumerian/Phoenician/Canaanite/Hebrew war deity that demands blood sacrifices and who's following spread globally after the Romans adopted it as their patron deity. The bit about forgiveness, love and haven is just stuff that got added after the Romens converted.

You Got It! Wow, that is great.
I highly recommend going on line and watching Ian McCormacks visit to heaven, you get a glimpse of what you just said above! And then share it with Patrick because Ian McCormack was a professed Agnostic as well prior to his death experience.
May the God of heaven bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you!

WRONG! You must read the scriptures prior to Constantine believing in God. Read Ezekiel 18: 4-32.

WRONG! Wrong, and WRONG! They shall surely repent when they see and meet the living God. No doubt in my mind!

Watch Ian McCormacks death experience video! This should answer your question.

Wondering if God is all forgiving and if you repent you will be forgiven and enter heaven, except atheists. Well that a bit contradictory. God loves each person and is a forgiven god but if you don't believe then you're not even going to be given the chance to state your case and insta-hell for you.

because the only way to salvation is through the lord, it states that very clearly in the bible. there are quite a few places in the bible where there is ambiguity, however there is no mistake in Jesus's word. very few things are black and white, this is one of the few places.

whether you are forgiven or not is between you and God.

How can it be Jesus' word when the bible was written by man?

They actually have a book that ranks all of the Bibles Jesus quotes from real to hoax. Can't remember the name of the top of my head but it was written by Christian scholars.
