this may be hard for you, but consider what I actually say instead of what you infer.

I am not arguing that what has been put out related to him being a perv is true or not.

I am arguing that the people of Alabama probably don't trust the media's take on it.

So fitz is now the State of Alabama?

no.

but both got the word that moore was a perv from the media.

but fitz likely swallows all media bait whole without even sniffing it. its hard for him to even conceptualize news that is not true. you can see his struggle in previous posts on this thread.

to him (it seems) the media = truth.

The state of Alabama on the other hand likely at least sniffs the bait.

That is certainly their right but, this is a ton of bait and it stinks from a mile away...if this is some "Fake News" conspiracy, someone has spent billions in bribes.

I would say that this is a case of bad reporting and a lack of oversight rather than a dilderate attempt to perpetrate a fraud.

Indeed I’m completely enthralled by their every word.

Because the investigive work was not robust or even thorough. The "evidence was not stress tested, look at how quickly the internet community ponced on it. Rather was a victim of his own self-importance he and his production team were handed a scoop, and bearing mind the potential drama this would cause, the level of executive oversight was miserable - compare that to Woodward and Bernstein. Look at Der Speigel and the way they were spoofed, in my oppinion this was nothing else than crap journalism.

Okay, so when you have a major contest and want to hit the ground running, you produce for both outcomes. This is why the NFL makes Super Bowl Champion merchandise for both teams. This is also why Newsweek prints out presidential magazines for both canadates. Someone getting their hands on the Clinton contingency doesn't make them wrong. I have to question your motives with this kind of transparent spin.

I take it then, that you have access to the proceedures these reporters used and will be releasing your expose shortly.

the day of the election, I was in an airport and this version was on the shelf. not the Trump version...this version.

It is the same thing with misleading polls.

Get the opposition to figure its in the bag, so they have no need to bother voting.

As a Bernie supporter it seems you would be as irked by this as anyone else.

Someone shipping out early is a logistical issue. Embarrassing yes but it doesn't change the fact that they did a Trump AND Clinton issue. A screw up in the mailroom =/= bad journalism. Now if this was the day after the election with nothing pro-Trump (think 'Dewey Beats Truman') you'd have a point.

I just cannot imagine Americans being so unconditionally stupid as to believe that its the right thing to do to have some perv in government!

Ah, you holy innocent ensconced in your little world, that precious stone set in the silver sea!

But I don't blame you. How could you form any conception of how unconditionally stupid, stunned and brainwashed your American cousins have become since they committed the unforgivable sin of being hornswoggled by the Terrorist Insurrectionists of 1776. You would need to live for many years in the environmental sink on this side of the pond to fully appreciate the rich, ripe stink of corruption that is America today.

(At first, I thought by "perv" you meant President Sub-human Con-man; but then I realized you were referring to the holy-roller hypocrite in Alabama!)

Americans no doubt inherited their hypocrisy honestly from their English forebears, but have raised it to a higher power of hucksterism by their sedulous cultivation of the power of hypertrophied Lying!

No.... not really I just read (from 2004 so hopefully not fakenews) what others commented at the time and summarised it. If you want some insight into my thought process then...

Determined not to be just a multimillion-dollar news reader like some younger-generation stars, he continued to anchor "48 Hours" before finally giving it up and to contribute pieces to "60 Minutes," even at the cost of being stretched thin. So it was not unusual for Rather to be crashing an investigative piece, as he did last week.
"Dan is a lightning rod, compared to Brokaw and Jennings, because of his personality," said Lawrence Grossman, a former president of PBS and NBC News. "He's had some very strange incidents. His colorful use of language makes him a little quirky in many people's eyes. So he's a little vulnerable."
Bernard Goldberg, a longtime CBS correspondent who has turned sharply critical of his former employer, said he believes that Rather was duped and will survive. But, he said, "CBS News is acting the way the Nixon administration did during Watergate. I'm really sad to say that Dan Rather is acting like Richard Nixon. It's the coverup, it's the stonewalling."
"Dan knows that trying to do a story about a Republican president is immediately going to stir up a hornet's nest from the conservatives who have jumped on him since the Nixon days," Bettag said. "He could have been excused for saying 'I don't need this kind of grief.' But he didn't."
