The highly obvious yet brilliant one, LANGUAGE. Where would we all be without language?

Like Myp said - yes, I read that after posting this. Shh,

I agree with language.

For me personally it'd probably be the internet though. I don't know what I'd do without it

I think the greatest invention is the wheel. Without the wheel just think how much different life on earth would be. Just about everything depneds on the wheel in one way or another. Just moving products around, or my sorry butt, the wheel is the essential to our way of life.

The Aztecs already disproved that. :smug:

No wheel.
David, can you give us a proper explanation instead of a couple of words? Perhaps you should also refresh your knowledge of the Political Fray Forum Rules, particularly Rule No. 1:

Political Fray Rules and Policies

1. Write well-thought out and coherent posts.
Don't give any short, one line answers that leave people trying to decipher your meaning. Instead, try to explain yourself thoroughly. It will likely save both you and anyone who reads your post some time in the long run.

"How did they disprove it [the importance of the wheel]?"

"No wheel."

How is that not clear?
I hope your question is sincere David as I would have thought that it would have been clear that this is a discussion forum where we make statements in full sentences and when needed back them up with a meaningful discussion.

JustHatched made this statement:

He made a statement that the wheel is the greatest invention, and then backed it up with his reasons.

You came up with "it has been disproved by the Aztecs", without discussing why it has been disproved by the Aztecs. Next when I asked you why it has been disproved, you came up with "no wheels". That is not a discussion.

What does "no wheels" have to do with being disproved by the Aztecs? Can you back your statement up with factual evidence? Or at least some meaningful discussion?

I thought i explained it for you? The Aztecs did not utilise the wheel. And were successful. That undermines the alleged importance of the wheel.

The discussion was with David, not with you Dirk. David asked me a question and I answered him as a Moderator. The Political Fray rules are quite clear about making posts with complete sentences and expressing thoughts clearly so that other people can always understand what the poster means.

I believe MYP has already made two postings about the Polical Fray Rules. Particularly with regard to posts that are meaningless, sarcastic or off topic. In this particular instance, the post was incomplete and I had to ask two questions before I could get some sense out of where it was going, which was not very far either. We are trying to get the quality of the postings back to where they were a number of months ago. Hopefully you and David can help with this.

The greatest invention in my opinion is definitely light bulb. Why?
Light bulb is one of the first artificial light we had which helps us in every day's work. Without light, we most inventions wouldn't be there to help us in moving forward.

Artificial light existed long before the light bulb. It existed before our species did. :giggle:

The greatest invention of all time must be electricity, without it we would not have power, warmth, entertainment, security, and all the nice stuff what people like and also a lot of food is made with electricity. So I believe electricity is the best invention.

Briefly - electricity wasn't invented, it was harnessed and artificially generated. There's a difference. ;)
