According Obama's recent speeches its quite evident that the new US president is all set to make huge amendments. His claims seem pretty impossible, for instance the one of "shutting down outsourcing and creation of ample jobs.
Well looking at the current perspective the job seems too demanding and rigorous.
Good Luck
Mr President!!!!!

I also believe that at this time of crisis all the companies want to cut down their costs. Outsourcing is a necessity for the companies to cut their operating cost down to a manageable cost. So Mr. president this might be the most challenging tasks, you have decided to do. This can also break down the companies also. So my best wishes are with you..

It's true that Obama has made claims of stopping outsourcing, but I don't think that he meant to drastically erase it. Mostly I think he just wants to have a good majority of the jobs come back to America when the economy gets a little better and more stable.

Well a good deal of skepticism when it comes to the promises of politicians isn't just healthy, its wise. I would argue however that Obama is the only one who can bring any real change. McCain, even though I respect him more than anyone else in the GOP, is still GOP. That party has run roughshod over not only our long term interests in the pursuit of their short sighted domestic agenda, but has diminished the core beliefs in judicial process and humanitarian treatment of prisoners. They need a trip to the woodshed for blatantly looking out for their interests ahead of those of the people. For the obfuscations and back room dealings that they have hid every step of the way from us. Also, McCain has stated in no uncertain terms that we are staying in Iraq despite the fact we have proven unable to make any headway in bringing law and order to that country. He will continue on the path that Bush has and I feel to no greater effect than Bush. Our soldiers and our money will vanish down that hole for as long as we let it.

Clinton is even more tied to the past via her marriage. How we can even think to elect another family connected president is beyond me. Imagine if this were some other country, and for 20 years they speak of being the most democratic and free nation in the world, yet seem to have no other leadership options but members from 2 families. It would look bad because it is bad.

It seems to me that people are against Obama because he speaks too much of how great things could be. I worry that should he get the Oval Office america will expect an overnight magical transformation where everything is right and we should all know thats not going to happen. Its going to happen in increments and with a good deal of work. Yet I feel he is the only one who offers even the promise of anything actually being different. I'm willing to take the chance that it can happen under an Obama administration.

I think we just need to look back of the years of politics in many different countries to see that claims like this can not be met right away.

I believe Obama and many politicians for that matter go into the job with great intentions and wanting to make a real difference and change.

However it's so easy for people to get caught up in the system of things and how things are run for example Obama will have all his advisor's many of which will have views hat differ from one party members to another.

I do think Obama will do his very best to bring about change but change takes time and though he has years to bring about change sometimes change takes years in itself.

I think issues will be tackled and he will try his best to stick by his word but we have to be prepared to hold our hands up and say he is one man and one man can only do so much.

This is not to say he wont make a great President I am sure he will, but even the very best of presidents have been able to only achieve so much.

The expectations put on Obama are unbelievable. Just the other day I read an article where he was praised as the next Moses. You know the phrase, "the bigger they come, the harder they fall" comes to mind when thinking about Obama. People are just setting him up for a fall. Not to mention his staff is working full time to downplay expectations. Just a few days ago, his team announced that closing Guantanamo Bay will "take some time."

Not to say that he will be a bad president, but people need to be realistic.

I totally agree with you omeythehomie I love that quote.

The thing is he is under so much pressure from all ends I know there is wide spread gossip from many religious groups saying he is the anti-christ and statements like he is the next Moses do not help.

He is going to have a lot to live up to and the thing is when and if he falls then he is going to get no slack from the public society is cruel he will be given so much criticism if he fails.

People need to understand that he can only do so much I have no doubt what so ever he is going to make an amazing president but when expectations are so high it would take a saint to meet them.

I suppose he has given people a hope that anyone can do anything if they put there mind to it so him becoming President has certainly done a lot of good.

Well I really wouldn't say he will bring a "drastic change" as all changes need time. Nothing is going to happen in a split second, we all have to put our heart into it and help ourselves out while the president does the best they can. People are putting too much pressure on his shoulders, we really have to loosen up on this subject and let him do the job that he was elected for. Too much pressure can surely end in disasters, but seeing from his speeches, I can say that he may bring about change in the near future.

Obama seems to be quite optimistic about the bright future of America. He is looking forward to bring it to a higher level of leadership and hope. But the task seems to be pressing, there is lot to be done on many fronts like Iraq war, Afghanistan war, bail-out rat race etc etc. I just hope and pray that he proves to be a man of substance.

Hope was definitely his selling point when he campaigned for Presidency.

Therefore he emphasized a lot of his ideas on that, and it seemed to work, as the nation needed some hope. However he needs to get realistic now that he's in office and hopefully he will be able to pull through.

It seems like Obama is for even bigger government than Bush was. If this has shown us anything throughout history its that big government doesnt work. Dont get me wrong, i'd take Obama over bush any day but the real person that would have brought about real change is Ron Paul.
