In everyday details how free are we to choose? We are no longer free. I cannot choose a toilet that requires six gallons of water to flush. I am constrained by busybody bureaucrats to 1.6 gallons. **** them and their sh*t stains.
I have to buy a light bulb that costs me 7 dollars and enriches an Obama supporter instead of one that did the job just fine for less than a dollar.

Not sure what Obama has to do with all this, but when it comes to the toilet water or light bulbs there are negative externalities to your overuse. A Pigouvian tax might be a better idea than a ban possibly though. And before you somehow bring Obama back into it- Greg Mankiw, professor at Harvard, and a top economic adviser to both Romney and Bush during their campaigns (and for Bush when he was in the White House) is a firm believer in Pigouvian taxes and the "Pigou club".

Are you familiar with the Federal government? We have this thing called the Executive Branch. Obama is in charge of it. There are about fifty agencies whose principal job is to grow themselves through publishing rules and regulations. They are comprised of Democrats, lawyers, and pirates. But I repeat myself.
The externalities are simply BS. They are a means to convince the simple minded that we need a vast, massive government to help we poor folk make every decision.
Do you see why it is so clear that you are part of the problem and will never be a part of the solution? All of your folk heros are statists just like you.
