I don't really care about the parties or conservative vs. liberal anymore. I've said and explained it many times. At the end of the day, climate change is a real threat according to the facts, healthcare costs are a concern, economic recovery is needed, etc. We know the problems for the most part. We can try solutions based on the data or stick to political talking points. I'll choose the former.
This post just shows the absurdity of politics and possibly one of the reasons why the GOP is struggling so much- the GOP isn't what it was 15 years ago- part of the Democrat party might actually be what the GOP was 15 years ago. Just found that interesting.
As for the problems, I like the pro-monetary action proposals for economic recovery (generally I like what Bernanke and company has done), I think a carbon tax (not cap and trade) could be a good idea if implemented properly, and I think Obamacare does some things right and some things wrong as far as healthcare goes- I think more reform is still needed, particularly pro-market measures and things to offset practice liabilities and education costs.
