And therein lies the issue here. You wish for me to accept your opinion as a fact in the face of verified Data from sources far more informed than you could possibly be that clearly states your opinion as invalid. I simply cannot do so and take myself seriously.
The Military refers to these weapons as "Assault Rifles", and "Assault weapons"...in this case your opinion carries much less weight.

Absolutely against any ban on such. I have three simiauto rifles, they are considered hunting rifles. So if it is scary looking its an assault weapon?
Why not make a gun ban? All guns. I understand in the "Constitution" we have the right to own guns, but the Constitution was made hundreds of years ago and there weren't 10s of thousands of gun related deaths in this country every year. It's time for a change and it's a shame a bunch of innocent kids had to die before this was realized.
killing children is already illegal, committing crimes with guns is already prohibited by the law. why throw out the Constitution for a superfluous law
Perhaps, but all these crimes and others like them are easily committed because it is so easy to get a gun. Had guns been illegal, and if that guy's mom didn't have assault rifles laying around, dozen of lives might have been spared IMO.

I don't agree. And clearly millions of other Americans and the courts (at least so far) don't either. So therein lies your issue. You are misrepresenting his view on no basis other than your opinion. Again, you don't like people putting words in your mouth- why are you doing it to him? He has never said anything that has suggested his goal is to take away liberties...
Honestly I don't think millions agree with you. It is not the GOAL of this policy to take away liberties. Most people would agree that the goal is to reduce gun violence. Whether or not it does that is another story, but that is the goal. The liberty being taken away, if any, is a side effect- clearly not the primary intent.
