I think that's a great point, Mr. Johnson. Gun ownership is a fundamental right-- really it is a human right-- no different than speech or religion. The government has no business prohibiting the so-called mentally ill from owning firearms. I am likewise offended on the behalf of your and other honest, law-abiding, nonviolent people like yourself who just happen to have certain mental difficulties outside the mainstream. This does not make those who experience mental problems any less human, and they are fully entitled to their right to own a gun, unless and until they have committed some crime worthy of having those rights taken away.
